Title: Speakers
Post by: tjsahara00 on February 23, 2018, 10:10:44 AM
Yes I know there must be a thread in here...
but I'm lazy and it's been a little slow around
here. I'm thinking about doing some of those
gosh awful (big) looking speakers some of you
run. Remember I'm cheap and would like to
hear what y'all run. Do you keep the sound bar
when you run them bullet looking speakers??

I have a thread on this somewhere... I run a cheap set from Amazon that were highly rated, and they aren't awful considering the cost. No sound bar, just the 2 speakers. Yes, they make much better ones, but not at that price-point

Yup, not everyone can afford the gold-plated stuff.  ;)  if u get them Kevin, let me know how hard it is to connect.  i have been thinking about this, my stock speakers are blitzing out and im thinking of replacing.

I really like my gold plated crawltunes cans.

On a cheaper way to get good sound note... replace the stockers with a good set. Also, drill small holes in your dome light housing to make the sound bar a ported box of sorts. The sound bar is sealed so sounds terrible. Made all the difference in the world! A decent set of speakers for the sound bar can be had for $50 or so, drilling is free.

about going to those biguns.....

If you have not pulled the dome light cover yet to test the difference in sound you should. Huge difference. Worth a shot.

These?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008DJT5QK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478530133&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX280_SY350_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=wakeboard+speakers&dpPl=1&dpID=41Nl-hSSkqL&ref=plSrch

Those are the ones i have. The mounts are plastic (mine were black, not silver) but that didn't matter to me since I welded on some ultra low profile mounts to my cage and tucked the speakers ~4" closer to the bar

Then the only concern might be that new shade thing you bought fitting over the clamps.

Crawltunes should have a set coming in for CFR. I run their set up and have been happy with it.

I still have my mounts laying around... hope the pic gives you some scale. It's on 1.5" tube in the pic(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180224/c658e83697183322d6cd925f6f3c3a33.jpg)

I remember a You Tube video where you can homebrew some from PVC pipe.
