Title: Trailer project for sale. $400 obo
Post by: Matt on July 05, 2011, 10:41:20 AM
I just dont have time to finish this.

When I bought it, it was this long (24').

It has been shortened to 18'. The rear axle was relocated up front.

What it needs to finish.
-Deck
-Axle Bearings & Brake kits? I had to pull it home with one tire off. One of the brakes was locked up.
-Rear bumper

Recommended
-I would add more cross members (probably not necessary).
-I would probably also fix the beam at the tongue of the trailer, has a dent in it.
-Tires

This sucker was long.

These are all I have with me at work.

I dont know alot about them but I would guess that a house or camper was once sitting on top of this frame.  It looked like it had a spot for slide out steps near the front, a dual battery tray, and load stabilizers, more likely a camper. The wheels are the open old school ones. I can get more pics if needed. The trailer is at my dads house at the moment, so I have to take a trip to get some.

Also the axles hangers have been flipped to raise the deck over the tires. Price is negotiable. Last resort would be to scrap it for cash.

Looks to be a camper frame.

Looks to be a camper frame.

Thats what I was thinking, plus the wheels were white, that what makes me think these are not mobile home axles, they were meant to be showed off! I can pull the brakes and see if the backing plate is bolted on, my guess is it will be bolted & not welded.

Excuse me for my improper use of terminology here.

We bought and installed the following hardware which totaled right at $100 by itself.

New Bushings/sleeves for leaf springs.
New Tandem Axle Spring Hangers
All new mounting harware for axles.
New Spring Mounts/Perches on Axle End (Allready Welded)

Glad you had some newer photos than I did. Should we put it on craigslist?

I still have it. I has been sitting a while. The axles need to be gone through and it needs a deck. I can get some pics of it now.

Flowery Branch. I towed it when I picked it up, with 3 tires. It has been sitting so I would have to inspect it.
