It was mounted on the truss. The post is a bump stop pad.

I saw that, and if that's the correct spot then there wasn't pentration to the bracket. Otherwise the bracket would have torn.

Post by: jd30005 on March 13, 2015, 11:57:07 AM: Awesome recovery this morning. Thanks to Danny, Scott, Adam, Clark and Jason for helping me get off the mountain.
We used Scott's chain to pull the axle back and attached my winch to the top front and got it aligned.
I did suffer carnage working with the chain - chipped my front tooth. That smarts.
The upper mount for the radius arm just tore apart. The weld is in place.

But I am with Ben on that bracket is undersized. As you said that is what a shake down is for. Sure am glad that did not happen on the highway. Even better that it did not take out them expensive ORI'S.

Post by: DOUG on March 15, 2015, 10:17:50 AM: Lost 3rd, 4th, OD. Was on cruise at 80 and all the sudden rpms jumped up to 4500. Was in 2nd gear. Pulled off and checked fluid. Slightly low but no big deal. Limped home at 45/3000 rpm from Dalton. Ready to replace the motor too. 290k on each.

I do need to trim my rear corners a bit, but nothing major, just some slight rubbing. Once I fix the "bump" issue, more trimming may need to be performed.

There's one video on youtube where they were using of those quadracopters to get a shot of a jeep going up a trail at windrock. The best part was that the quadracopter actually was able to give the viewer a sense of how big the rocks were!

I wouldn't be surprised if the damage started at Windrock last year, since that is what happened to my passenger side mount, but cfr completed the work.

- Torg
