outstanding... this is what Durhamtown needs... events every month.. Thanks GATR... this is our make or break it yr for the jeep parks...
-
Well, I will miss this one. Can't hit all the rides this year and have to be choosy >:(
-
Yeah, It's a "break" month for the guys that always go out. We have a lot of big rides this year! I will be going on this one, but we are bringing Justin's TJ & some ATV's. I think we are going to ride the 4x4 trails with everyone Saturday and ATV trails Sunday.
I really wish they would fill Cougar Canyon with boulders like you said!! Definitely need more "hard core" obstacles!
Good trail riding though!! I'm excited! I'm sure there will be an open seat for you Ben, you can come out and ride along and camp. Just a thought
-
</BEER/> maybe, just maybe ;D
-
Might go for the day, maybe camp. If the wife doesn't go you got an open seat Ben.
-
Dang i wont be here for that! Have fun and take pics!
-

I can't confirm it yet but I would like to.

Yeah, all the S GA and FL MUD RATS come up MLK every year.

I joined "core" quite a while ago and the Jeep gods have just not been with me and I still haven't got to ride with the group. Even though it is an open ride, looks like I will be able to make the Saturday (back to work Sunday).
Hope to finally meet some of you there. Good thing for me is the D-Town isn't too far away.

I should be able to make this, although we will have to leave around 3 or 4, as my son's school (well, not the whole school!) is singing the Canadian (??) National anthem at the Gladiators game that night at 7.
I think I am going to get an annual membership if they offer them...I definitely want to support D-town...it might not be for everyone, but if we don't support it, they surely won't expand their offerings! Plus, that will be just the excuse to take a pistol down and waste some ammo! {salute}
My boys have been itching to get into motorcross/trail bikes, too, so we could be spending some time & money down there!
Hopefully we will have a good turnout!

I heard rumor a DP employee just got a new Razor and had it less than 5 mins and flopped it on it's side ::)

Hate to hear that. It's not funny when somebody gets hurt. Was he in it by himself?
Mike, you OK??
-
funny aint it fucker... if you are going to talk about something just make sure ur facts are right..
did i flop the rzr yes.. how who the fuck knows.. did i get road rash.. yes.. did the EMTs clean me up if u want to call it that..
am i sore, duh,, but let me say this...
GOD FUCKING FORBID your ass does something that you would rather not have to whole fucking world know about.. and let me find out. cause i will blast it every fucking where,,, get a fucking life.
-
Sounds to me like someone got butt hurt!!! </LMAO/> </LMAO/> </LMAO/> </LMAO/>
-
not really just hate having someone else putting out shit that doesnt concern them.. that is what i call drama.. and the one that did it is a drama queen...
-
How do you flop something in an idle only zone, were you wearing the proper safety equipment? I have done stupid sh1t before trying to showoff but I don't get all pissy, I laugh it off and go on. Guess some people are thin skinned. And Doug the only thing seriously hurt is his ego.
-
-
who r u
-
//OLDSKOOL//
-
Bill really... never thought of you to be the one that runs and tells everyone everything... guess i was wrong.. {swords} and since you werent there and I think it was me that told you about it, how did you screw up the story? cause u jacked it up bad,.. that is why i got pissed
-
Huh? Apparently you got the wrong Bill cause you didn't tell me anything. What's jacked up, all I said was you flopped your razor after unloading and got rock rash which you said was what happened. Didn't know it would fire someone up so bad but such is life. And now I'll not comment again and foul up their ride thread.

I see they have a rather extensive RV park. Anyone here familiar with it? Specifically is it (very) large motorhome friendly? Last time I went I remember overall the parking/public areas to be very dusty and muddy - is the RV section like that?
-
large RV is fine. the rv section isnt bad like day parking 30/50 amp hook ups
-
RV parking area is a lot nicer than the day parking for sure!
-
Thanks!
I want to make the trip, and it would be a fun night or two to take the motorhome and tow the Jeep. Other than driving it back from NY and parking it in the driveway, I haven't taken it anywhere. This seems like a great chance for my first mini RV trip, and get some wheeling in! Anyone else taking an RV?
I haven't been wheeling in almost a year! Last time was March 2011 at Gulches with GATR when I got caught in the tornado/hail storm. Well, a couple months later I met up with the Isuzu club for a day ride at Beasley Knob and the forest roads. Other than that the Jeep spent most of last year getting repairs and mods. Still no rocker protection so I won't be pushing it too much.
-
Not gonna make this one, guys. My wife is due with our 2nd on 1/31. I'm hoping to make the March trip and for sure the April trip.
Jared
-
sorry and congrats to you guys!

C-section scheduled for Tuesday... The final countdown begins!!
-
I would Like to participate in this, But I just joined the forum and am still a newb to this "group" thing... can a senior member contact me and let me know exactly what I need to do before hand and what I will need for this event????
-
This is an open ride so you are welcome to join as is. If you can have a cb it would help a ton. We use this to keep in touch on the trail. Also, please make sure you have tow points on your rig (something other than just a bumper) to use as a tow point in case you get stuck. I would suggest those 2 things 1st.
-
Directions are below. Just be there on time (10 am) ready to ride @ 10:30. This is the best ride for you to learn the ins and outs of "Group Trail Riding". This way there will be guys to help point you in the right direction and spot you on the trails!
Durhamtown is 95% "Tier 1" trails - I would highly recommend that you try and make this ride if you are planning to go to other parks in the future!
PM me if you have any specific questions or concerns. We are leaving from Auburn/Dacula area around 8:00am if you want to join. {cheers2}

Sounds good. I have a class 4 tow hitch installed with loops on the rear. But I haven't looked under the front to see if the ZJ has any on the front. Im still not sure I will participate or not, just hit 500 miles breaking in my new engine... After attending on or two of the events I will see Igbo want to up my status and actually buy a membership.. As much as a want to wheel I most likely will... One other thing, anyone have info on the camping cost and if pets are allowed?

-
anyone have an extra CB that they could bring? i will be getting one, just may not be able to before next weekend...
-
I'm in the same boat, crushed mine into a boulder coming out of "Creek Bed" last month!!
-
What does aired down mean new to offloading durhamtown will be the first time
-
Airing down is when you release some air pressure from your tires. It increases the surface area of your tires resulting in increased traction as well as flex in the rubber to grip surfaces such as rocks.
-

He is finally keeping stuff down, so I will have to wait and see how he does tonight and feels in the morning. Maybe it was just the Taco Bell that he ate yesterday.
If I don't see you on the trails tomorrow, have a great time.
