Title: Snow Boarding question

We are planning a snowboarding trip with some friends this winter. I've personally never been snowboarding or snow skiing, the closest I've been is Snow Mountain @ Stone Mtn. Park!

Has anyone ever been to Winterplace in West Virginia? or know of a better place, possibly closer? I'm really more interested in the Lodge experience - like Dumb and Dumber  </LMAO/> - I'll roll down the Mountain one time, then you'll find me at the bar

I went to a place in West Virgina can't remember the name of the place but it was nice! I snowboarded down the mountain once busted my a** and then went and hung out in the lodge! It was a great time! HAHA

Winterplace is pretty good, got a little bit of everything there. I went there about 6 or 7 years ago however so things could of changed. There are some other good places too, mainly in Western NC. Never been to those myself but I have several friends who are big into snowboarding and those are the ones they talk about.
