Having a hard time finding a dealer that is in the GSSF program and has a G19 gen4. only one was down south in stockbridge. they replied they would not have one in till end of the month.. there are not many in GA that seem to honor the GSSF gun purchase program. :(
-
That's very interesting. I was getting ready to maybe join but this help make my mind up. You can always order from somebody that does and have them do an FFL transfer to a shop closer
-
ya, the discount is nice, i had thought about the FFL transfer, but when u add the Fee it takes some of the discounted price away. :(
the discount is really nice i guess i just need to be more patient. G19's are really popular, .. there is another one in smyrna , sent them a msg this morning, hopefully they have some in stock.

Cherokee Gun and Pawn does free FFL transfer

I did not know that. they are a bit far for me to drive.... i think on the GSSF you have to give the coupon to the person who is selling so they can attach it to the invoice, turn it into GSSF so maybe they get their money back or something. i will get one nxt year also, which is nice that each year i get a coupon ..
-
You guys complain about anything ;)
Ed's in Stockbridge is a good store. Adventure Outdoors (SPD side) is a good store. Stoddards and Dana Safety Supply are also blue label dealers if I remember correctly. You don't have as many options by any means but those stores should be able to cover you. You can not go to just any dealer but it's never a bad day to go to Adventure Outdoors.
what do u mean.. (SPD side) and im not complaining.. just struggling finding my G19 atm.. on the glock website it only shows 2 blue label dealers... i was getting impatient .. :)

Smyrna Police distributors

Stoddards in Atl, is close by me. in buckhead , seems like i can get on 85 to 17th street, .. i may stop by, i sent them an email seeing if they have one in stock.. hope they take the GSSF coupon. :)
-
This was just posted. Don't know if they take that coupon, but they are located in dawsonville

I think i found one, sent an email to stoddardsguns, they have an atlanta store and one in Douglasville. the Douglasville store had one and is sending it to the Atlanta store. in my email i asked if they participated in the GSSF program, and they did not say no.. so i guess they do.
anyway, hopefully i can get it sometime this week. i still will use my g43 as my primary carry, its super easy , slim and light perfect for those quick outings. use my 19 for my (travel, nightstand, wheeling weapon).
I returned the new gliderod for the 43, it did add some weight, but caused the gun to jam a few times, a small washer would catch.. so, not worth it. the only mod i have is on the back plate.. got one with a texas state flag. . :) what can i say.. born and raised in texas, its just in my blood..

Any gun range that holds GSSF matches should honor the coupon. Sharp Shooters in Roswell/Alpharetta is one.

I added the Taran tactical +2 base pad and tru glo TFX night sites, also dropped in a new trigger. Tru glo TFX sites are the best ones I have put on a pistol (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160121/7fb07145924b14954485ddea7f002a97.jpg)(http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160121/f6b625ea507bf5fb3b1bfa8caf40ea2c.jpg)

Well bad news.. stoddardsguns, sent an email, that they dont do GSSF.. so back to the drawing board. i will look on glocks website again, or just calling them to get a list of local numbers of those who participate in the program, and then call to get a g19 gen4 ordered.. :(

What the GSSF price on the 19?
Cherokee has them for $489
-
425 is the GSSF price
-
See the $60 you spent of GSSF you could have already had a 19 for $489
-
ya, im starting to wonder about that. sounded cool.. should have looked to see who all honors the GSSF and how easy it would be to get them to have what i want. Grrrr. hate it that they are so far from me.. wish they where closer.. O well. headed to the gun show this weekend, maybe i will find one cheaper than 489... ?

are you just dead set against Gen 3s?
-
I personally think the Gen 3 is better. I love mine
-
hmm, i assume there is a cost difference also... i need to google the differences

Im w @cru9 , id rather have a gen3 as they are more proven IMO. As for the difference Kent, the only ones I know of are the interchange backstraps and the recoil spring/guide rod setups.
-
Still reading reviews. on the difference between 3 and 4. im in no hurry. . my 43 is still fun to shoot and a great Glock in its own right.
-
I really like my Gen 3, once I removed the finger grooves.
-
So which is really better? Lol

The one you have on your hip

I've owned my G19 since 93 and it's a Gen2. I'm taking to Glock just to take advantage of the free upgrade program. Supposedly, they will go through the entire gun and update any parts that have newer designs for free. Might go at lunch one day next week.

As long as it's not a collectible, it's a great program.
From what I've read, the G19 Gen2 is very desirable. People pay as much for a Gen2 as a new Gen 3 or 4. The first they do is replace all of the updated parts.
-
Right but if it's collectible DO NOT take it to Glock. Eg Gen1 17. Ruins the collectibility of it when they change all the parts out. It's an all or nothing with them as well so be prepared they will change out everything they want to.
Gotcha. Not sure I'd ever let it go, but I'll probably keep it as it is. Thanks.
