YEA it did i was ticked off all day.... just get to the park drive down the trail put it in 4x4h and let off the gas and clank clank and G says dude that so doesnt sound right and yeah it doesnt sound right heading bck to the camp site and parking it.. so off i went back down the 100 or so yrds to the campsite to park my Jeep...i have a few pics and videos on my phone that i have to upload so it will take me a while...

Had a blast as usual. Sure could have done without the mud. Sorry about the carnage for those who had some. I haven't cleaned mine yet so I'm hoping I'm one of the ones that didn't break anything. Cleaning will definitely be a challenge.

Sorry about your dog Kyle. All I can say is be glad it was a quick death. Our Golden retriever Jake got lymphoma. It was gut wrenching to look into his eyes for 9 months knowing he didn't have long to live. Then having to put him down... the WORST.

I had a great time Saturday. I think that is my new favorite place to ride. There seems to be a lot more trails there than River Rock.

It really wasn't bad at all. There's just a little dent under the license plate. It's not noticable at all. There is one pic of it up there I think.
I agree, it does look good dirty.
I am with Jimmy in that my rig seems to ride better after a nice thrashing in the woods!

Dang, looks like I missed a good party! I didn't see any (stuck) pictures of Glenn this time, good going! If I would have been there Glen you would have probably got stuck on something because you would have been like hey Chuck let's do this and I would say I'll follow you, but I would go a different route ;D

Seth the Hummer did look good! I know your 3 wheel action right before the dent was probably a little scary!
I was kind of expecting it. With IFS, there is a lot more 3 wheel action, which kind of sux when it is one of your front wheels that is off the ground, and you don't have a front locker, and you don't have any traction in the back.

Thanks for all of the condolences. I really appreciate all of the support you guys gave me friday night and saturday. Its not easy losing a pet, a dog, and a best friend...I am just thankful for her that it was quick. As they say, shit happens...but life moves on.
Thanks again and I am looking forward to having a better weekend at durhamtown in february!

This thing is cool, but it looks hard to drive! Watching the video it looks like he is grabbing all kinds of levers trying ti turn the rear wheels.

Great pics and vids MikeL. Just got my JK off the rack. Somehow I had a bent Draglink. 40$ later I had an alignment done and a straightened DL. I wish I knew how this happened. Now, the idiot lights won't shut off. >:(

It prolly bent from hitting your steering stab. Is your steering wheel centered? It should be since they aligned it, but you never know.
If the wheel is not centered in the JK, the ESP and BAS will raise hell.

I just checked it. Everything appears centered. I guess I can do the battery thing and reset all of the dash components. I guess we can do the high-steer mod when I get back. I will be calling on you MikeL!! MikeD can come over and do the cooking.

Hey yall!!
I apologize that it took me so long to get these up! Ive had an INSANE week :o Needless to say, ALL of the pictures are on Facebook (links below) and I posted some of my favs below as well. I hope you enjoy them; I had a BLAST (minus the whole not being able to talk thing). I'm really looking forward to Durhamtown in February!! Calvin's has LOTS of really cool things in store for the Cherokee before then. Woohoo :)

I drove up from florida to participate. I didn't know anyone except for a few foolish comments on the pre-trip chat topic. I drove all night thursday and arrived friday morning. Mike L. (red JK unlimited rubicon), Sam (red TJ), and Alex (blue YJ) were already there. They invited me to go ride, but I wanted to dump my gear and set up a camp first. We kept in touch over the cb and they came back shortly to lead me on my first ride.
In my hurry, I left my camera in my bag in the tent. Thanks Mike for taking this picture. Alex is trying to get me up the rock face at "good, bad, ugly". I finally made it after my tires dried up some. Outside of a few rides on the local forest sand trails, this was the first time I had tried anything difficult with this jeep.

More fellas showed up later in the afternoon and evening. It was getting colder. I was introduced to many, but it's hard to remember names when you're the new guy. The next morning, I took a few pictures around the camp area. I'm not complaining, but the area is really just a clearing with few familiar camp site features. I put my tent up across from where the main crowd was going to gather because I wanted to be able to get some sleep friday night.

You can see that tent camping with the georgia crowd is "primitive"....it was cold for everyone in a tent.

We had one good size fire friday night, but it was small for the extreme cold we had. We burned a lot of wood. Some fellas tried to warm back up saturday morning while the gang waited for the day-trippers to arrive. I think we have Kyle, Daniel, Matt, JJ, Brian, ....I may have some of these names wrong.

The sun had been up for a few hours now so it was getting warm. It never got above freezing on Saturday. I got up a few times during friday night/saturday morning. My little thermometer showed 12 degrees around 5:00 am.

I kick myself for not taking the time to take pictures on the trail rides. I was having fun and just never dug my camera out during saturday. I thought we might ride again sunday, so I didn't think much about it at the time. I borrowed these two pictures from "Lizzy". Thanks for including me in your photos.

steve, it was great to meet you and i think i speak for most of gatr when I say that we were glad to have you! (You got all the names right in those pics too). I wish I had taken alot more pictures than I did...I missed alot of action on camera.
