Promised my son a trail ride. Looking for somewhere to go that has a few challenges.

I'm thinking about taking a trip to Tray Mountain on Saturday if you're interested. I can't go out Sunday or I would. I'm new to 4x4 rides so I don't know if it will be challenging or not. Just convenient location. I'm more familiar with ATV trails in the area.

The soccer practice is over at 10:30. Don't know how long it would take to drive up to Tray. What time are you looking to get there?

It's about 1.5 hours from me and I'm in Forsyth County. I was thinking about getting up there around noon or so. But time is flexible. Only thing I don't want to do is ride unfamiliar trails at dark.

I found a Tray Mountain Road and looks like 2 hour drive. I could be up there at 1pm. If that's too late, I understand. Else, ltet me run it past my wife to verify all is good.

There is a church on Bethel Church Rd on the corner with a big parking lot to meet. Here are the coordinates on google. 34.744945, -83.675759
We are planning on riding Sunday with some friends. Maybe even hit bell Mountain after.

I would like to go on Sunday especially since it will be close to 70. The wife wants to go, so Saturday is a must. I may decide to go back on Sunday while she is busy. //;D//

I think we are meeting at Palmer at 11am. Waiting for confirmation on what time, and when they think we will be up there. Hope to have that info today.

Yea, I ordered mine yesterday. Goal is to have it installed and tuned before the next big Core ride.

Got the radio and firestik II. Waiting on the mount and coax.

Unfortunately I won't make it Sunday. I'll let you know how the roads are tomorrow. There is a big group going tomorrow too. Sounds like the happening place to be. And you all have me excited about getting my radio. Should have all of my parts in next week so I can finally get it installed and ready for some open club rides. I'm ready to get in on the action!

Yes Shane...I'm out riding all the time....usually by myself.....but yes I'll ride both days. We really enjoyed riding that day also and look forward to seeing you guys

I thought I was going to be the only one so I didn't check the forum this morning. I met up with the Atlanta Jeepers at the top of Tray. They split their group and luckily only had 10-15 jeeps where I was. They took off and left me though. I was not in as a rush I guess. And the trail was good for those who are going tomorrow. I had no problems at all. Be safe!

Need to disassemble the winch to get my skit plate on. If I do it myself, I'll snap pics of all of it. Will reply again when done, but will probably wait until the weather is nice on a weekend when I'm not busy.

I actually wasn't very muddy. Just a few spots of water and that was it. Was mostly dusty.
