so , after a lot of looking it appears that they don't make anything that will fit under the 2011-2012 2D JK seat. two bars black the standard box's out there that fit because of the ability of the 2D
to flip/roll the seat forward allowing access to get into the back. which the JKU does not need (4D).
anyway, anyone else have any other solutions to secure my gun in my jeep. the center console has a lock the glove box is to flimsy.

There is an under the dash setup that uses a strap between the steering column and bottom of dash. Can't remember who it was though.
-
I think he is talking about locking it up when he leaves it in the Jeep. Not easy access when he is in the Jeep

Add a lock box in the rear that is bolted through the floor.

I have that glove box. Looks great. No one has tried to break in though, so don't know how secure it is

You don't know if they did.

Good point...

I have the tuffy console insert. It's snug inside the console so you don't lose any space really. It's a little tight through the top with my 4" 1911 in its holster, but it'll fit with room to spare for loose stuff. But I put the 1911 in the underseat box now.

Carry the gun on your hip. Problem solved.

I have the tuffy underseat lockbox for when I want it secured, but I purchased this and am waiting for it to arrive for times I want it accessible
It's made by gumcreek customs

I have this one for my '14 with the combo lock. Warning, it is small. I mounted a cheap leather holster to the inside nearest the driver for my LCP that I normally carry. That keeps the gun from bouncing around the inside of a metal box. I normally grab it any time I leave the Jeep unless I'm going inside of work. I use a DeSantis pocket holster or Fobus OWB holster when I carry it.
