Title: Impromptu Trail Ride
Post by: URBAN ASSAULT on August 02, 2014, 10:54:15 PM
I'm heading somewhere tomorrow to put tires in dirt.

Purpose of the trip: Celebrate 300,000 miles of fun and games with my truck.

Where: eh. Still not 100%. Will have Thor, my 3yo son with me. Also, needs to be ~100mi or less from 30315 (ATL), in order to roll 300k in dirt.
Morris is rented out to GAy mall Crawlers. Probably bad form to show up? Even though most are prob gone by Sunday pm?
I'm kinda burned out on chocco.
So, considering just running Tray, and Bell. May stop and fish. May stop in Helen and get an overpriced meal.  Basically no schedule, which is perfect for a Sunday ride.

Let me know if you have any other ideas or want to join.  Planning to have tires in dirt by 1pm.

The crew at Morris is from Newnan Jeep, ram, dodge,, etc...which is where I bought my Ram.  I might be able to convince myself to go over there and pull my jeep with my Ram (i feel no bad form showing up for their jeep event).  Perhaps having a Toyota there will convince them they made the right decision by buying a jeep (ha ha)...until they see your beast on action!  I really should deal with my squeak tomorrow, but a ride is hard to turn down.  Let me know what you decide...I can roll out within 2 hours of a decision.

I'm out...I was reminded I have an obligation to take Kell to the Jeep and Truck show today at the Galleria.

Don't go. It is a waste of time. Trust me on this.

A bit too late!  Yep, besides the hot chicks at every booth, it was a complete waste of time.

It was a great day out!
I saw you as well, with the GA TRAIL RIDERS window banner.  I shouted out on the cb, but I get out of range pretty quick.

Ticked over the 300,000 miles.

I've been dosing out the miles recently in order to roll 300K in the dirt.  I just barely made it.  I had just left the pavement and was about 1 mile up Tray Mtn via Chimney Mtn Rd when it turned over.

An innocuous pic, but offroad nonetheless.

My 3yo had a blast.  Tray and Bell are about his speed.  We stopped in Helen and had a hotdog at a fakey German restaurant, and watched all the river rafters float by.  My bikini radar is now dialed in.
It was a good day out.

Sweet. Your toyota is in great shape for 300k that is a major mile stone.
