Because I went to Windrock yesterday. Met up with another guy from school who has a 04 WJ on a 2" lift and 31"s, a guy in a 94 ZJ that has been buggified and on 40"s, one of the guys from the TV show "Trucks!" and their ZJ on 35"s, and then a bunch of Yotas. I think I probably took the most damage of all the guys. Started off with a broken idler pulley before I even left Knoxville, hi-lift put a nice dent in one of my doors, limb tore off my roof rack, and somehow my driver side mirror got a crack in it. But still all in all a good day.

Nice! I need to come up there some day and check it out. Sounds like a lot of carnage, haha.
-
Sweet! :)

i would have much rather been up there than at durhamtown. {;-(}
-
ouch on the roof rack part... That place does look fun. One day I will make it up there Ben {toast}

Cool Pics Ben! Sorry to hear about all of the carnage. Is the zj going to last you until you get done with school?
-
Got to get up there!!! Carnage blows! Pics of the carnage???????????
-
I'll get some pics of the damage, but its nothing horrible, it just kept happening.
And Seth, yes the ZJ should last me through school. I'm fairly certain I will be getting a new daily driver in May 2010 so I will just have to make it until then. Also, most of the damage I have incurred so far has all been cosmetic (knock on wood) and nothing major mechanical.

This is on the 2009 GATR calendar for sure.

Yea! Now I don't have to drive 3+ hours to go somewhere to ride with ya'll (unless it's during the summer in which case I might be at home and would still have to drive 3+ hours).

river rock would only be around 2 hours from powder springs.

I've looked at it. It is 3 hours from Powder Springs, plus another 3 hours from Knoxville. So, if I were to go during school, it would be 3 hours Friday night, 3 hours Saturday morning, 10 or so hours riding around in the Jeep, 3 hours Saturday evening, and 3 hours on Sunday. That is waaaaaaaaaaaay too much driving and gas in one weekend plus $50 for the riding fee.

im telling you it is not 3 hours. i grew up in roswell and roswell to milledgeville is 1 hr 45 min. so from powder springs MAYBE 2hr15min. dont trust mapquest trip times...they think you go below the posted speed limit.

or Google maps! Google told me some insane time to Tellico, I want to say 3 hours... yeah was there in a shade under 2!

Ok, that is 2 hours total knocked off. That is still 10+ hours of driving in one weekend not including time spent in the Jeep on the trails. Way too much for me.
