We took 4 jeeps up today and rode for about 6 hours. Good day all in all. The JK has some new battle scars and the XJ is short a few teeth on the front ring gear. Aside from those there was no other carnage to report. One of the guys we went with is mud hole happy so there was more time spent in the mud than I normally care for but it was a good time. The first tow strap was out 15 minutes in to the ride lol. I put all the videos on YouTube so I’ll just link the channel. These pictures are going to be out of order because I took some of them on my phone and I was sent some of the others.

Great view in the next to last pic. Are there any more rocks there other than those shelves by the power lines?

There are rocks for days up there man. Ledges, hill climbs, a few rock gardens...the PB hole is just a good place to play because you climb and come right back down to something else instead of it being in trail form all the time. There are miles and miles of trails up there with everything from gravel road to werock competition level climbs.

Haven’t been to Aetna in years. Last time I went was in 2012. Big Dave and Kevin both remember that one! Last wheeling trip my grandad ever went on before his passing.
I need to get back up there one of these days.

It’s been brought up since I got on the forum. We should put a ride together. Preferably with a 12-36 month notice so I can finish my junk beforehand.

Well I’d be happy to let everyone know when We’re going but after reviewing the rules on here I see that it is frowned upon unless you’re a core member so I suppose that will have to wait until that happens.

Yea I posted the first one in the correct section...and then I noticed the post about not posting rides unless you’re a core member so I haven’t posted since then. I don’t have a problem becoming a core member once I’ve met a few more of y’all. I only know one person on here and that’s from riding years ago. The last time I got on a forum the guy running it turned out to be a douche so I like to give it some time before I get too invested lol. So far so good tho. Everyone seems pretty laid back.

Just seeing the locals hanging out (anytime)
One time Lenn broke a drive shaft and I decided
to follow and make sure he made it out. A local
couple (we will call them that) lead us out on a
4 wheeler. Between him stopping, getting another
beer, her missing teeth and halter top that she
shouldn't have worn, and him throwing beer cans
every where. Think of the one person you know who
cusses the most.... mutiply times a thousand.
The only thing that missing was banjo music.

Yea you have to choose your...ummm...friends...wisely up there. That’s for sure. I once watched a drunk man walk across the top of the campsite on top of the Pb hole naked and pass out when he fell face down in a mud puddle in the trail. I was like 16 at the time so I didn’t say or do anything about it. I’d probably find it less amusing these days since I have the kids with me. Those days seem to be over though...there’s hardly any traffic anymore.

The last time I was there was when we went off the cliff. I went first, Kevins daughter bailed out on him. I had to grab my wife by the arm to keep her in. She had already slid out of her seatbelt and in the middle of bailing out mid drop!
