What's your plan for using the H&K?  I haven't looked at specs but is it concealable?  If so does the Shield get any carry time now?

I wouldn't call the H&K a compact or a full size... Kinda between them. IMO its concealable. About 1/2" shorter overall than the full size rig, otherwise very similar. 15+1 instead of 17+1, the pre molded grips fit great and comes with 2 more sets of side panels and palm grips. Probably keep the shield around for events when there might be a lot of people since its smaller for a more concealable carry, leave the full size at home. Split carry between the H&K and shield depending on what I'm doing. Got another sticky holster with it, it's pretty tight since its new but once it wears in I'm sure it'll be just as comfortable as the one for my Shield. I carry at like 4-5 o clock since I'm fat. And the bigger gun doesn't really feel any different.

Mag release takes time to get used to. Didn't like it at first but it's growing on me, just different than my other two. Now I did like the safety on my shield, was part of my draw and made me feel safer. This one is a double or single action which is pretty cool too. Night sites are also pretty sweet. Excited to shoot it some more this week or next.

Also been thinking about stimpling my shield but haven't gotten a clear answer on what it does to the warranty. Supposedly as long as it doesn't effect the function of the gun it's fine but... Talon grips are only $20 for the sandpaper like ones or the rubber ones. Might give those a try first.

I'm not crazy about it either. Wanted to hold one before I even seriously considered it, just a thought that crossed my mind.

I have a guy I am working with in the job right now the stipples frames. He loves them. I am not a fan of it at all. ZEV is an aftermarket company that makes them for Glocks but they are rough on the hands.

I'm looking for something to conceal carry and do work in.

What I have now is a:
Cz p01 - 9mm
Hk USP - 45acp
Kimber 1911 - 45acp

The cz is kinda compact but I'm looking for something along the lines of that. I don't wanna that super compact where half your fingers are around it or a super short barrel that decreases accuracy becuase of muzzle flip.

What do yall like?

What caliber do you prefer?
What capacity?
Are you sitting or standing most of the day?

The main thing if you're carrying every day, all day, it needs to be comfortable.

Get a good holster for the CZ and try that out.

You can always go to a Commander (4") 1911 as well, but I'd get something other than a Kimber.  If you want capacity, there is always Glock.  The G19 is an excellent weapon.
