Title: SOLD
Post by: hb_hound on September 10, 2014, 05:54:56 PM
After much thought I have decided to sell the Jeep. With the kids starting ball and less and less time to actually use it, it seems like a good time to move on to other family interests.
$5,000.00 with a bunch of spare parts in the garage (YJ and TJ)
Will consider trade / partial trade for boat or 4 wheeler

For Sale ’79 YJ8, formally known as the Scramblineer
Started life as a Cherokee Chief, frame and drivetrain remains with a couple of YJ bodies grafted together for a Scrambler style body.
Newer V8 conversion HD radiator from Extreme Radiators with custom built shroud. Heavy Duty fan clutch, spins 20% faster at slower speeds - this thing will not overheat!

Engine is AMC 360, honed and balanced. Edelbrock dual roller timing chain, RV Cam, Edelbrock permformer manifold, heads rebuilt and slightly warmed up, etc. etc. All of the internal parts (lifters, gaskets, etc.) were Edelbrock where possible.
Got Propane Brand Propane system with 3 Aluminum tanks (1 mounted and 2 spares)
TH400 3 speed auto tranny. Rebuilt with a new torque converter and B&M shift kit a few years ago - shifts great
Art Carr Gater Shifter
Quadratrac (Borg Warner 1339) transfer case with part-time conversion. New 4" wide chain and the problematic clutch system was removed with the part-time kit. Low range...of course.
Driveshafts are custom made. The front and rear are the same length (+/- 1/2"), so you only need to carry one spare...which is included. CV yokes on both sides.
Rear Driveshaft is new
Dana 44 Widetrack axles with 5:13 gears. Warn conversion hubs on the front. Front has a Detroit locker and an Aussie Locker in the rear
Front Tube Fenders
New Bestop Safari Top
36x12.50x15 IROKs on Allied Beadlocks (NEW, 2 runs off-road, never been on pavement other than to load on trailer)
The steering box is a variable ratio unit with a brace, steers much, much tighter than the typical waggy's.
Other items:
Custom CJ style dash with Autometer gauges
Sony AM/FM/CD stereo with Bazooka Wake Tower Speakers powered by Kenwood amp
MSD 6A ignition upgrade
Smittybuilt 9K winch
DOM 6 point rollcage
Corbeau front seats with Corbeau 5 point harnesses
Custom dual exhaust with Flowmaster type mufflers
Bilstein 5150 shocks (rear installed, front needs to be installed)
Yellow top battery
New Wiring harness
LED Rock Lights

Any interest in an aluminum bass boat with 4 stroke 50hp motor? Needs carb cleaned.

Galvanized trailer.
