thanks to @jd30005 for posting the CL ad and putting this smut idea in my mind. I sent the link to Beth and all she asked was "can we wheel it" and i said "we will beat the @#$% out of it" and she says "then im down" and then "it wouldnt hurt to message him" wife of the year. Now im trying to work and all I can think about is MOG. dammit. Im honestly scared to message him, if he is down to work a trade I might have to jump on it.
someone talk me out of it. please. or not. //:hlp//

I wish I could tell you no...I say go fer it, but I really think you should pull those KM2s off first.

Apologies for posting it. I say it doesn't hurt to message him. Let me know when the road trip will be to go get it, I call shotgun...

I have a trailer that should handle it quite nicely. Just do it.
If I was up north, north ga, more I would seriously consider it. Looks to be a great price to.
-
1. Trade LJ
2.
3. Profit?
-
From the listing: "I have troop seats and canvas for the bed"
Best. Night ride. Ever.
-
I got one question. Where do you find parts for it?
-
Russia.

there is quite the following out there for em, a quick search comes up with several options, but if it is as nice as he says then there wouldnt be many parts needed until i break it.
@patman 1. trade LJ.. i know. 2. idk. 3. id have to ask for boot on his end which would cover larger trailer to haul it and possibly a beater cherokee or something to wheel when DJ comes out.
@jc79 night riding BEAST .. would also be an awesome "drive that sucker across country to wheel" rig.
@inline6 if he has done all he says he has, then it is a truly awesome price
another thing to consider... can you see that thing with BOGGERS .. jism ..
-
That's kinda my point. If you have to have them imported it might become a issue if Russia (Putun) keeps acting foolish.
-
email sent. nerves.

im sure they have to come from somewhere, but from the looks of the purist sites they have the basic stuff on the shelves.

@kennisau went a similar route and now he never wheels. Lol. Don't be like him.
-
Idk.. But I promise I will not just throw the LJ away on a whim .. I'll sell it to @tcdawg first

Saw one of those at Tellico...damn show stopper on the trail....everyone stopped to watch it

I saw this on a site about the 404's and had to post it...
Off-road, the 404 is truly impressive. Few stock vehicles even come close to a 404 off-road and nothing the big three has made even comes close. The 404 has all the ultimate ingredients for truly awesome off-road capability, including unsurpassed ground clearance, an extremely flexible suspension, crawler gearbox ratios, locking differentials and a virtually bulletproof drivetrain. Because the 404 was engineered by Mercedes-Benz with these features as standard, Unimogs don't break on the trail like most heavily modified 4x4s which were never intended to run big tires, crawler gearboxes or diff locks.[/size]On first impression, the 404 may seem big, especially compared to Land Rovers, Jeeps, etc. However, it is actually quite nimble and actually has a tighter turning radius then a Land Rover D90! Obstacles that seem huge in most 4x4s are just minor bumps for a 404. Finally, 404's are also just plain fun to drive on-road or off-road!

I've been off road with one, it was a beast. Just do it.

I've been on night rides w Justin. Giving him more resources is both bad and awesome
-
You guys wanna just split it 9 ways? It can be the spare gear vehicle and we can take turns driving it.

Solid

It would haul a lot of firewood.
-
i sent him an email yesterday around 4pm.. no answer yet, idk why not, maybe he wasnt serious about possibly trading for a jeep, or maybe it shocked him that I said I would need a little boot from his end. Anyways, im just trying to make it through the work day after we shut the pub down last night..
-
Unimog axles under an LJ. The pearly gates would immediately open up.
-
How wide is it? Would it make wheeling not as much of a challenge?

#28 is in AL

Hi Justin, sorry for the delay. Glad you like the Unimog, i spent the last ten years getting it the way i wanted. Unfortunately now it just sits in my garage i drove it a whopping 283 miles last year. I got a overwhelming response from this ad with offers of Jeep trades from as far as California. I currently have a cash offer at my asking price but the gentleman is have problems raising the entire amount. (always the way on CL) I am in no hurry as spring is right around the corner and I'm sure if I start driving it again i won't want to sell. To be honest I'm not looking to spend any more money as I'm working on othe projects. So i would consider cash offers and equal trades. Thanks for your interest. Ed

I offered to trade him the unimog for Tonys jeep. I'll let everyone know what he says.

How much cash do you have to give him along with Tony's Jeep?

Must be a busy day at the office for @tcdawg. Guess he is cool with the possible trade.

I talked to him earlier. He is fine with the deal. I just had to give him my $50 HB gift card

HBH card = magic.

Turkey and ham gift cards do not tempt me.
I am a grown ass man. I raise my own turkeys and hams in my backyard and cook them up myself. No "honey baked" middle man.
