The RCV shaft didn't want to get released from the carrier. Jim persuaded it to come out.

Pretty sure the axle seal was for the 27 spline (so the wrong seal) and not the 30 spline.

Weather was dry today. Trails are drying out pretty good. Slight chance of rain tomorrow, but hopefully it passes. Ready to get some trails in tomorrow. Been great so far.

Yeah the drive shaft separated. But went back together just fine. Everything is back together and ready to ride.

Not sure on the transfer case yet. It is making some horrible noises. Add of now I am just going to park it. Don't really feel like ripping into the guts right now. Only time will tell.

On Friday, you need to be at the General Store, ready to roll (gas, pass, etc), at 845. We will likely hit 15 as a big group and then break out into multiple small groups.

Wait until we upload pics from trail 40. Awesome. We had to put a winch line on everyone's rear tow point just to drop in about halfway through the trail! Then the rain came not long after that!
Our group of 7 ran three trails in 10 hours yesterday.

We ran about a third of 40 then had to turn around. It was getting late and it wasn't happening with Justin's cj on 33s open/ locked rear. I lost a tire on 22 on a rock that caught my tire. Bobby popped a bead and Justin lost a shock on 40. It was a long day, I don't know how many times we pulled cable and tow straps on 40 but it was a lot. Good times!

What a trip........
Let me start by saying that was one of the most epic trail
rides I've been on. The trail ride Friday was a roller coaster
of emotions. There was so many oh shit moments, but there
was a lot of hell yeah I made that moment's also. Grateful
for the way the group came together and helped each other
as GATR always does!
Batteries were dead Friday so these are from Saturday when

just gotta say out of all the times I have been to this park this was the best. great trails great folks the only thing that would have been better is to stay longer and I wish we could have got together with the other part of the group. can't wait for next months ride

Yeah we didn't get to ride with the other group at all. The smaller groups may have been for the best though, with how hard the trails were!

As already stated, Great Trip! By far some of the best trails I have ever ridden. I scribbled a bunch of trail notes while bouncing down the trail. I will try to make sense of them and post them up. It may speed up the process of planning loops, and groups.

I discovered some carnage while getting the TJ off the trailer this morning. Upper control arm on front driver side was bent. Lower is untouched, so that's a bit strange, but clearly there was a pretty hard impact upward. I don't recall any hard hits there.
Anyway, since it has a trackbar, I'm going to swap over the passenger side upper and run as a 3-link. Then I'll have two spare joints.
Both diff vent tubes had been ripped as well (cheap fix).

I had an absolute blast on this trip!! I think this is the first trip I have been able to fully enjoy. I may have had a few issues this trip (bent tie rod, broken ignition, bent door hinge, dented both front fenders, bent exhaust, broken passenger mirror mount, dented Pillar, dented front passenger quarter panel, and worn transmission mount) but it's all to be expected in this sport! What's awesome is my passenger step and all 4 mud flaps held on like a trooper. //LMAO// I can't thank everyone enough for their help and assistance with fixing my jeep, pulling cable, or holding my jeep from falling over backwards. //::)// I'm really thankful for this group, there's none out there quite like it. Thanks to Wes, Danny, Todd, Clark, James, Alex, Mark, Kevin, Jared, Joe and Josh. Also, a special thanks to Marie (Todd's wife) for all the pictures taken. Let me know if I missed anyone. Aside from more seat time, I also learned quite a bit about how a vehicle runs or in some instances how it doesn't run. I did end up getting some pictures and video. I should have them posted by the weekend.

Once I cleaned all the Tennessee mud off, I noticed some more damage. Worst is my passenger side slider got bent upwards pretty good. Can still open door, though!
Cracked rear taillight ...pretty sure this was on 21 when I backed into a tree.
More rear driver's side door damage, too.
My front bumper seems to be tweaked, too...about a 1/2" gap on driver's side.
Oh, and you know you were wheeling hard when you scrape paint off the TOP of your slider.
Great trip...damage worth it!

That was a great time! I regret I didn't get to ride with more of you guys in some of the other groups. As usual Friday we got the most wheeling in. 15, 38, and 39 were a blast. After changing my tire and then going back and watching a little bit of the rock bouncer competition on Saturday, we headed over to the wind mills. It was definitely worth the ride over. The windmills are huge! Pictures do not do them justice! There was also a cool open area on top of one ridge with fantastic panoramic views. After that we spent a few hours winching up and down 40.
