Roads are a mess here in Gwinnett. 85 SB closed with a lot of wrecks. My office is closed and all the schools of course including college in Milkedgeville.
Who is out in it?
-
I came to work as usual between 1:30 and 2:30
Hwy 369 was completely white as was Hwy 20
-
My office is open, but I'm not going in. Gonna be a day of conference calls and documentation updates...and being cooped up with a crazy person.

I hate it when you have to stay by yourself.

I was at the gym at 6:00. The roads up here were slick as hell.

The roads in Gainesville look the same.

I went out to get a coffee and back home. Accidents everywhere

I'm at work. I'm expected to come in with the Jeep. But I did do some wicked cyclones in the lot //LMAO//
-
Roswell isn't bad. The side streets are a mess but the main roads are melting now. Going to freeze back up tonight though.
How is the snow where you are? Here, it's a powder. Not wet and heavy like the last time.
-
Fluffy powder. Much better than the last time. Ice is gonna be a bear in the am.
-
Made it to work at 6:15. 42 miles from Braselton to Tucker. Got down 85 before they closed it. Slippin and slidin! Yee-haw. Hope I can get back home! Would have been nice to have new tires on the truck. At 61000 miles on stock tires bought in Feb/2015. Not a lot of tread left. Just enough.
-
Flurries in Augusta, nothing stuck. I'm just glad we participated in winter.

Gwinnett had plenty of slick roads and cars in the ditches. Gonna freeze again tonight!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180117/0ad8930d866dbef07ab2e43b5d7433e9.jpg)

I went to the hardware store in the Jeep to get items to repair an air hose in the shop. Turned onto Hwy 9 at Post road and did a 270 spin at 2 mph. Luckily no other traffic in the area.
-
Best commute to work in a while from Roswell to Buckhead
-
Hit the deep v ditch in my f250 around 50mph. Popped right through it and broke the plastic arm diverter on the bottom of the bumper.
Driving down 129 to toward Gainesville and the back came around all of a sudden. I corrected it once to keep from going across the median but it wouldn't come back around. Headed straight for the ditch and I drove into it, but hard, then came out. When I came back on 129 i suspected I might have hurt the sterring. Nope all was good. Continued on my way home. Solid axle for the win.

Amazing the strength of the in-ground set with the wires making a vector.
For sure. That is a double circuit line... 2 sets of three phase. lots of tension on that angle. That steel pole is bolted to a concrete/rebar footing that is probably 15 to 25 foot deep.

Didn’t even notice the structure!
Amazing how we notice the things. I did home inspections for many years and it’s been a nuisance since retiring. Always finding faults in everything I see.

I passed you yesterday on dacula rd right as they shut it down and made everyone do a u turn. Roads were rough in the am but got better as the day progressed. Ended up taking about 3.5 hours to get from braselton to Stone Mountain to get paperwork. Had a couple managers stuck in ditches we had to pull out. Fun day to DD a jeep. Lol

Haha, I missed you. Dacula Rd was sh't yesterday! There's a pretty good size "s" with a drop off between my house and Kroger that is still shaded and pretty icy @Chris36l
