Figured I'd post here...
Looking for a set of 37x12.5x17
Was going with stickies, now I may not. Just seeing what's available
-
New 37" red, blue, and sticky treps can't be bought unless someone has them in stock at their place.

Correct. I posted here looking for used tires. Can't have a "budget" build if I spend $2k on tires

I know. Just wanted to give you a heads up on new.

Bump... someone here is moving to 40s soon...

i have 2 sets here at the shop, both are takeoffs. one is dick cepek dc2s? i think thats the number, they are maybe 20-30% tread left and all terrain they would be dirt cheap, like $100 for the set. They would be groovable probably.
im not sure i want to part with the other set, they are toyo mts with at least 95% left i bought for my pull truck off a guy used. I may be getting rid of my OBS and if i do they will be available. My uncertainty is why i didnt post right up about them. I gave $1k for them, so they will be at least that much.
both sets are 37x17s.

Thanks. Im looking for more aggressive tires than cepeks, and less nice than the toyos.
I can think specifically of a couple guys here with pbr's and mtr's that need to bump their time lines up

My brother has a set of 37" KM2's for sale. They are 37x12.5x17's. Not sure what he's asking but if your interested I'll PM you his cell number and you can text him.

Those run real small for 37's but they sure do hook up nice. Good tires

This goes toward my dilemma... I have 35 km2 now and want to go bigger. I really want stickies, but even with cro-mo shafts they'll be a strain on d44s. I was hoping for some blue labels, but the only set I found are ~1,800. I can get new tires cheaper than that.
Remember my friend Kevin from hale with the treps? He broke his passenger side rcv that trip. Also broke his driver side and rear yukon shaft two weeks ago even though he wasn't hammering on it. Even with the great warranty, I don't want to be swapping shafts that often.
I think a less extreme tire may be ideal until I go to tons

I think those Blues are a bit expensive, but you are trying to make a rational argument in an irrational activity. The Blues are killer compared to any street compound, while still not being full on stickies. So, while you can get new tires cheaper than the Blues...they just aren't the same thing.
I believe that if you wait, you'll find some blues cheaper than the 1800...which is nearly new Red label price. 37" KM2s, depending on wear, will be about 36" at full inflation and I suspect 34" aired down. What are your current tires measuring when aired down?

The rear km is 32.5
Front km2 is 31.5
-
That'll make a heck of a difference.

I guess I'm really chasing tire height more than traction right now. Mo traction is mo betta, but I may wait and go big with 40+ in a year or 2, unless I find better deals before then
