About Morris Mountain
The park was created from a lack of places to go wheeling.  It started as a pastime for Kris and Randy Morris and quickly grew into Morris Mountain ORV Park.  The park now has obstacles, trails, mud pits, canyons, and a primitive camping facility.

Our experience trying to find places to ride kept leading us to areas that forced you to pay for full weekends, camping facilities, or required reservations, making a spur of the moment one day wheeling trip impractical or unaffordable.  As a result,  MMORV has flexible hours and low fees to allow the average joe to take a half -day wheeling trip or a weekend long outing.

Morris Mountain ORV park will be open on the 2nd and 4th weekends of every month only.  Note this does not apply to privately rented events.

One of my favorite parks. Hopefully this heat will break and we will get some Fall temps.

All I care about is if it cools down at night. Here lately it's been nice leaving for work @530.

Looks like no one is going to get in some Friday wheelin'.
Anyone going to show up Friday evening/night to camp or just show up Saturday morning?

My kids are excited they get to ride in the new Jeep.

Just came here to post up that I’m looking at a Friday day trip. Don’t want to miss drinking I mean football on Saturday. I’d head over early on Friday morning and head back that evening or possibly camp out and head back Saturday morning. You might be bored riding with me in your new rig and my fear of popping an axle shaft though.

I'm leaning more towards coming up Friday after work, pending weather.  E.g., if weather is good, I'll be there sometime on Friday late afternoon/early evening.  Camping in the truck.

Sorry but I'm out for Friday. Gonna wait for the kids to get off the bus then, weather permitting, load up & head to Morris with the kids.

The bathrooms are turrible...women folk will not be pleased with it.

Money for the park goes into a drop box at the shed area.

Waze used to screw up the directions...but that was a while back, I think it's fixed now.

That’s good to hear, to be honest, I haven’t even given him a shot. We used to go camping during GA games just to listen to Munson on the radio calling the game, maybe I’ll try it out again this season. But definitely not during the ND game.

Well, you have certainly shown your true colors.  I had a serious issue with my engine that impacted my trip, but instead of being supportive, you use it to attack me.  And, incidentally...your offer to help at "8am" was followed up by you showing up around 9am with a girly, latte-like product in hand.  Then you handed me a non-functional electrical tester...gee thanks, bud.

For a while I've heard some things about you from several members, such as "he's stupid," "he makes bad decisions," and "he can't wheel," but instead of letting those slide, I defended you;  Many times I told those folks, "TMac isn't stupid, he's slow, bless his heart," and "his decisions are questionable, not bad, but he means well."

Since I can tell I'm not wanted at this event, I'll update the check-in thread to officially bow out.

I don’t remember anyone else crawling all over that dirty tire at 8am to get that last stubborn plug out  [flipoff3]

That is a good reminder to replace that battery in the tester

So I hadn't commented as I didn't think I could make this ride.  But I realized my conflict was Saturday morning.  I could potentially come wheel in the afternoon but now I'm not sure how to take a lot of these comments.

I don't want to show up when everyone is leaving.  I hate to miss Morris when it's dry.

I need to find out the window for our carpet cleaners coming.  But if I can make it would be around noon or so local time.

Have Shane (@Cleveland99 ) babysit the cleaners, since he won't be wheeling or doing anything you deem important.

2 hours to wheel, 2 hours to watch Clark work on his engine, an hour to drink a beer and load up. Home by supper. Sounds like a swell day!

There you go again...accusing my rig of being muddy..WTH!

But, as much as it pains me...there is truth in what you said, so thanks for the helping hand.

Yeah, you should be able to kill v notch and that ditch to the far left of it.

Ha ha yeah.  I walked V-notch when I was there in July.  That one to the far left not so much, if you mean the mud pit.

What time you think you’d get there? I plan on playing around for a while

I need to find out the window for our carpet cleaners coming.  But if I can make it would be around noon or so local time.
My plan is to head out between 4 and 5 to make it home for the ga game ( @Chris36l )

Have Shane (@Cleveland99 ) babysit the cleaners, since he won't be wheeling or doing anything you deem important.
