Title: A bit much to ask... But I need help.
Post by: grifenhagen on November 10, 2013, 12:03:10 AM
So my new parts will be here thursday and installing everything is gonna be hard as hell doing it by myself, and I don't really feel confident doing it all by myself.
I have new coilovers and upper arms.
I just need someone to lend a hand and help me throw the parts on there before the 101 class on Saturday. I'd pay ya of course
If you can help, send me a pm please!!!
Or text or call me at 706-617-9498

Again, if you can lend me a hand, I will pay you.
And if you want, you can take home a free craftsmen table saw!!

I can offer near real time text support, but my physical presence isn't available for the month of November.  I have burned too much good will at home over the last couple of months and I have to take a break in order to get some other goals accomplished.

If I knew what I was doing with a yota, I would offer my assistance. I'm slammed with work this week though. You got it!

I wish I was closer, I'd offer you some help. Have you tried some of the Georgia section on any yota forums?

I installed everything last night, took me about 6 hours by myself. Wasn't near as bad as I thought. I took it to my mechanic for an alignment and had him check everything and he said everything was perfect.
Before I installed everything, I went and bought a craftsmen digital torque wrench and it helped a ton for torquing everything correctly. I can honestly say this was probably the first install that I've actually felt 110% confident about once I put everything back together. This truck rides like a damn Cadillac now.

My experience with some parts is that the suppliers/manufacturers don't count nuts and bolts, but instead go by weight of them, which leads to extras.  OR they use the same nuts and bolts bags for multiple solutions and that makes it easier from an inventory perspective.
