from what I read its bit like River Rock. Hills, mud, rocks, man made obstacles. You should be fine in your JK. I took my stock 1 ro River Rock, got high centered once, denter the end caps of the front bumper but thats it

Hey Matt,

I just found out (or was reminded) this weekend that I already have obligations to the Sweet Water Festival in Milledgeville.Ugh, sorry. I was actually elected to the student government here at school couple weeks ago and I've got some stuff I have to do that weekend. Sorry, but if there's anything I can do to help out with organization and stuff just let me know. I'll start by fixing the check-in thread.  {;-(}

Man! I really wanted to ride this one! Don't have too much fun  {toast}

Absolutely, and it looks good!  I'll never forget you crawled the "Good, Bad, and the Ugly, and I couldn't with a limited slip, but had to go back, and have done it since.  I was new then and thought you rode often.  I've been around less than a year and ridden with the group at least 8 times.  Only seen you at 1.  :o :o  I know you've got a career that screws your weekends, and it's hard to fault a guy that works hard, but nobody works every weekend, right?

Edit:  River Rock was awesome.  Hate you couldn't come.

I hope I can make it still. I have been in a financial bind since RR. Don't count me out just yet. One day of wheeling is better than none! Adam, I want to meet you but... the odds are against you. ;)

Tough break there man! Better get looking for a new one ASAP.

I am a bit on the fence as well. More because I know I NEED to get the credit card and now medical bills, paid off. You never know what could happen and I would hate to have 2 Jeeps, credit cards, and medical bills all over my head.

Not to mention, as fun as River Rock was, it still kinda sucked being stock height and being very limited to where I could go. I don't see a lift in the near future so...

It's because the main rubber supplier is down due to flooded areas of their building (in Texas). They said they won't be at full production for another 3 weeks. We still have reserves here so we're not too bad, it's just enough to last us until the 20th. It sucks cause I won't be able to go now that I think about it. I have to pay a jeep payment, renew tag, renew license, and pay the insurance payment so I will be in a bind for the next few weeks, but I will be able to get through it cause it's been worse.

Ill take the bet as well. I know Adam will make this one. Most of the time he is on the fence, but he has confirmed this.

Lay offs suck. I just spent my last dime yesterday and went to 50hrs a week at work (I dont think that will be enough to get us by.). Times are tough for everyone now.

Yeah but I'm not worried about it just won't be doing much of anything for a couple weeks. I also remembered that I worked some OT last week so I'm gonna use the extra cash for some Upper and Lower CA's and HD tierod for $190. They only have 5K on them and plus I know the guy so I know what kind of shape their in.

Hey Manny, this is an open ride, so please join us.  I'm not sure of the miles from Atlanta.  Check out the web site and directions.

I look forward to meeting you!

If our SJ ride to Durhamtown falls apart I'm going to try and make it.  Will there be anyone heading up 85 Sat morning that I could meet up with?

Hey Manny, Neither Matt or Adam trailer, and kids are always welcome.  How old?  My 9 year old loves to ride.  The 8 year old not so much.  There will be other people at the park too, so you may want to reserve a camping spot early, sounds like a great time with the kids camping along the water, and some wheelin!

Thanks for the info, I guess "kids" is a little misleading.  My daughter is 15 and wants to bring her "BF" to show him what off-roading is about.  I will call tomorrow to see about a camp site.

We are going to leave early. We are in Flowery Branch so we will be getting on 85 at the braselton/hoschton exit. Where the pilot truck stop is. We will probably be there about 6:00-6:30. Try to make it to the park around 9:00.

I wish I could go and meet some of you guys but I'll be trying to catch some brook trout this weekend in the mountains  ;D

Me and some friends went to Gulches a couple of weekends ago and the place is awesome. It had been a while since I had been there and a lot of new trails had been made since then. There is a fair amount of rock there, maybe comparable to River Rock. The trails are all doable except for the new trail, Papa Gulch. The first 10 people that make it all the way without winching will get their names on a plaque at the trailhead

You guys will have fun. Call ahead to Skip and arrange for a Gulches Ranger to show you around.

Also, Skip opens the gate around 9:30 or 10:00 and if you get there before that theres really nowhere to get out of the road. Ask him about that also because he has property you can wait for him at right beside the park entrance
