Started on the stove and then finished on the egg for 3 hours. A lot stuff went in it. First I have ever made with 2 cups of red wine and a little bit of brandy

Did you put the entire stew in the egg? Looks good.

Browned the meat in the dutch oven and then threw in the onions, likes, carrots, and celery in for 10 minutes. Added wine and Brady to a boil with beef stock. Pulled from heat and put the roast in whole and on the egg with lid for 2.5 hours and pulled like for last 30 minutes. Melted butter and then added flour to it once I pulled the lid. I added mushrooms.
Only edits I made was a longer cook time, mushrooms, and few minor spices added to it. Did use the butter and flour to thicken it once i removed the lid.

What would you get from that?
Scroll down to the bottom with the one with wine in it: http://eggheadforum.com/discussion/821877/beef-stew-recipe
Pretty much followed it but a minor variations as noted above.

Eh, maybe. Ever had it just on the stove. I would say it has to add something.
