Looks like we're getting into the Bow business now.
Gonna be extruding a aluminum bow for a company
called Black Eagle Arrows made locally. The part is
right at 28'' wide.
The extrusion die is 42'' od by 8'' wide and weighs 2,651 lbs

That is interesting. How big is the material you start with?

Here is the dimension we have to meet.
No telling how much will be machined off.
It's 37.475 lbs per foot. The 2'' sample I
have is around 6lbs.

Looks like there will be a lot of machine work that goes on after the extrusions are cut. I’m sure this is going to be a fun one to extrude and meet all the dims with all the long, skinny sections.

Yes we came in a little small on the wall thickness. Gonna have to work the die to get it in tolerance.

Better to need to remove material from the die than add it!
