If I dont sell my current wheel & tire combo, I will end up with JK Sahara/Rubi wheel and keep the 37x12.50x17's. Opinions?

So these are also 17"? I like the wheels on the Jeep. You gonna paint them or leave the machine finish?

Yes, the JK Sahara Rubi/Saharas are 17's. I will either do Sahara' which are painted silver or Rubi's, which are machined.

I dig it. I still hate that I got rid of my OEM canyon wheels. I liked them. I think this would look good on the ole girl. And again, no maintenence on those wheels either! Bonus for me! Same offset as what you have now?
-
Actually, the offset is 6.25, but by the time I add the billet spacer/adapter to get the new lug pattern, I would be where I need to be.
-
Right on! I just saw a listing on craigslist for a set of those wheels and tires. Good price on them too.
-
Aren't the JK 17's too narrow?

No. Mike runs a 37x12.50 on his JK rims with success.
-
Very well I might add. Love that thing!

I found a set of Sahara silver finished 17's for $250.00 ;D

Nice!

Be careful with Sahara rims, some of them are 18's.
They look great, but mine are taking a pounding. I'll take some pictures of them tomorrow. The spokes catch hell being so far out on the rim. I've dinged the bead area pretty good a few times also. I surely can't complain about performance. They've gripped the tire great and balance well. They are aluminum though and show scars for sure.
Just so you know, not that I think one is better than the other, there is a difference between Sahara and Rubi wheels. Only in the finish though. I think the Sahara wheel is painted with a clear coat and the Rubi wheel is polished with a clear coat. Something like that anyway.
Why don't you get with Seth? If he doesn't run the Rubi wheels, you could buy those.
-
i like the cool black ones you got now.
-
Well, today, I decided to machine the lip of my rims. Didnt have a chance to clean them afterward, btu I think it looks nice. Your opinions?

I like. :) {toast}
-
The contrast of the machined lip looks sweet!
-
Looks nice. It would hide some scars too!
-
Well look better in person. Chris we need pics and a write up on the door mod! ;D
