Good morning! We are pleased to announce our dates for 2013 and the host hotel today. The hotel is ready to take reservations. They sold out very quickly last year, so please make your reservations as soon as you can. Registration for the event will begin in January.

Yes, it couldn't be more than 200 yards up the beach from the host hotel. Some rooms are inefficiencies, some sleep between 2 and 6 people. The ones that sleep more are between 95 and 115 a night I think. The ones that face the beach, 4 on top and 4 on bottom of that picture only sleep 2 and are $85/night. The top is already booked up. Me, Frenchlayer, Cru9 and some fawker from canada that got my room from last year. Probably an 80 year old snowbird...

Only problem is, it attracts alot of women and french guys.

We'll see.. I REALLY don't do too well in big crouds. And as Ben pointed out, it looks like it'll be more traffic then wheeln'. But like I said, we'll see. Jeep fest was a lot of fun, but I found that there was so much traffic and carnage on some really simple trails that more time was spent getting broke rigs off the trails, then was actually spent doing them. This event is much bigger, meaning more traffic, more carnage, and more wating. Off season would probably be the best time to go.

there were big crowds at the speedway, but it is so spread out it really was not an issue, traffic was never really a problem either, except waiting in a 10 min line to get in the speedway and if you want to get in the beach parade on Sunday, other than that it was a fun beach trip with lots of jeeps to watch pass by on the beach. When we did the scavenger hunt, we did not sit in any traffic and got to see some really cool sites in and around Daytona, hell when we got a flat it was in the middle of nowhere in a huge park. There is some wheeling at the speedway, they set up 2 or 3 different courses.

Ben has not been to this event. The traffic is only entering the Daytona Speedway and they handled it last year so much better that it was a breeze

call my place. It's a little 1970's style motor inn type place. Right on the beach, got a pool. It's literally 200 yards up the beach from the host hotel.

There is a lot of debate about that. I registered at 1:15 and am #637. Really doubt 637 people registered in 15 minutes. Everyone thinks the digit after the 6 will be your number. So think I'm number 37.

I will be leaving Wednesday night and staying somewhere around Valdosta and then in to Daytona on Thursday morning.

Cuz with my old tj. He broke his femur in the hip joint on the ski trip. Last year they never came out after 6 pm anyway LOL. Missed all the best parts.
If u want it let me know asap in pm. Its pricey. The most expensive room at the host hotel. Wed - Mon I think. U can shorten.

yep, I spent some quality time on the jeep yesterday. Cleaned it up, checked all the nuts and bolts I have had off in the last few weeks. Ready to go!

That is Cortney Mcrae, daughter of Larry Mcrae, owner of Poison Spyder. She is a nice young lady, a spyder girl, and just about to receive her MBA and is very active in the biz.
