For our May GATR ride, we will be riding at Beasley Knob on Saturday, May 10th. Lets plan on meeting at the Waffle House in Blairsville, GA around 8:15 - 8:30am, eat and be on the trail by 9:30. If you can, please plan on eating at Rib Country after our ride. It will be fun to hang out and kill some sweet tea.
You must meet the following requirements in order to ride with GATR. No exceptions.
1. Functional Parking brake or Line Lock
2. Tow strap
3. Jack
4. Fire extinguisher (must be secured and easily accessible)
5. Seat belts/restraints for all passengers
6. CB with clear reception
7. Recovery hooks or D-rings front & rear
8. Battery hold-down
Again guys, thanks for continuing to make each GATR ride a success.
Thanks,
Chris

I am out too. Found a busted joint on my TJ. RK don't sell rebuild kits for my type joint anymore but they will sell me a new updated joint for $125 plus shipping. I got to take a good joint off take it to the macnine shop and have them make a couple of pieces and then rebuild the bad one.

keeping with the trend, im out.

Dang, this ride has bombed! No rain in the forecast either... for once!

Tell me about it. I'm still going, but if anybody that's left wants to substitute Tellico, I'm all over it.
Krawler, you still going?

There's a new possability that I might have to scratch my name off the list also. My front drive shaft is going south. I took it out today to verify a suspicious noise. Yeap, it's time for a new one. There goes another $700. I can take it with me, install at the trailhead and remove when I'm done. Just seems like a bunch of :bs) to deal with, but I don't want to let you guys down that still want to go.
Please post up or give me a call so I can make a decision.
Thanks,
Mike

final revised check-in list:

;D
We had a nice little ride yesterday, the rain Thursday night was just enough to knock the dust down. I enjoyed Beasley, it's a great spot (when dry) for a rig set-up like mine, there were'nt a lot of challenges for Mike but we found a couple of good spots for him. Overall we had a great time, did all the trails except the top part of B which is nasty, took us about 5 hours or so. I forgot my camera but we did get a few shots on Mike's.
