I have a Vizio...pretty nice, as long as you can live with bad grammar and auto-input selection not working very well! The display is fine, once it finds a source. I am NOT a videophile.

Turn the HDMI control or CEC off (it never works right) just change inputs manually. I've been in the high end audio/video business for 20 years. My eyes and ears are spoiled!

Just spoke to Trailers for Less. They have one and only one of those blacked out trailers. It will only be sold on Fri and it's first come, first served.
He also mentioned that he has 3 of the same trailer with the standard wood deck and white wheels that they will be selling for $2,799 on Fri only. Also, must be in person.
I'm not planning to deal with mayhem but posted this as a public service announcement...

I wish I could justify a new tv to replace a functioning tv, but I can't, so I lash out at those who can ;)

3 years ago (right after we moved here) we took the tv out of the bedroom and moved it to the workout room. the wall mount has been sitting there empty so we're really just shuffling tvs around and getting one back in the bedroom. The next tv shuffle is when we put the oldest tv out under the patio. So, not really "replacing"

I have a tv at the lake that works great except the HDMI went out on it so I can feed it with component from the directv box but not the appletv or Chromecast, and I need a small foot for the shelf so I grabbed a 48" Samsung for $279. 12" deep.the 50" is 24" deep? wth the 50" is $299

I'm not sure if it still happens, but a couple of years ago I got my Atlas transfer case discounted a bunch by waiting for their year end shutdown (just lucky timing on my part)...I did use a forum discount, too.
I think I paid roughly 3200 for the four speed with cable shifters and the sight glass. I just checked and they have a "rush" option for $150 extra, but mine only took several weeks to get it. Compared to SAVVY shipping, it seems pretty quick! @michigunman

Have you done some research on the difference? I read a few articles saying it's BS. Very minimal time on research though. What have you found? 4K is the best before you get to OLED from what I thought

My reading said that if you are planning to put a TV outside above a stone fireplace, best bet is 70" OLED

From what I gathered, 4k is 4k. The refresh rate and type of display (quantum dot, oled, etc) have an impact as well, but being able to discern that difference is subjective. After seeing them all in action, I decided it wasn't worth the premium for the minimal increase. Some of those features are a gimmick to get you to pay more, and the cost to the manufacturer is probably minimal. Those tvs will be cheap next year, just like the tv we got now was expensive last year.
I like to watch tv, but it isn't my job and I don't do it enough to justify it.

So what did everyone get? Anything? Seems like this black friday was mostly a dud.
No I did not get the trailer - I decided not to wheel this weekend and eat vegetarian Thanksgiving for the past two days. Sorry @Danny Kinder , I feel like I could do it most days but Celebration loaf is awful - there must be something better. It doesn't help my mother thinks it's ok to follow somewhat close to the recipe but not the actual recipes for things. Pumpkin Bread Pudding sounded delicious but too much pumpkin made it just sloppy.
I did get some random knick knack tool stuff at Lowes - bit holders for the ones I've demolished and stripped the past year, some clamps to replace the junk ones I had, etc and an Amazon Echo for some reason I'm not sure why.
Pretty sure I know what @cru9 got for Thanksgiving. :)

Not a Black Friday special but I'm calling it one.
We switched over to T Mobile after being with AT&T for more than 15 years. We got 4 free phones ($1k value), 2 extra phone lines, unlimited everything, saving $40 a month & they are mailing us 3 $200 Visa gift cards.
I think we got a deal.
Good luck with their coverage. Wouldn't work for us. Depends on where you frequent and travel.

Unfortunate truth. Had them for a year and just couldn't do it. Found myself without signal way too much.
Same, had them for a year and couldn't even get coverage in my house half the time

Works great so far. I don't have a lap top. I only use a phone. Works great at home.

GenRight got me on Cyber Monday: 10% off + free shipping (GRBF16 code). I pulled the trigger on the aluminum swing out tire carrier. I know I'm going to have to make it work on my setup due to conflicts with the Savvy rub rail on my corner armor, but I think I can make it work by dropping it down a couple of inches. I have wanted this setup for a while, but the shipping was outrageous...like $250, so I decided to jump on it now. I was broke before this...now I'm down to beans and rice for a while. //no// OR, Santa is going to be a scrooge to everyone else this year //SLAMIN//

It won't happen until after black moose....and then you'll likely only see it in Moab and Colorado...I'm not planning to carry the spare for most parks.

Just a little faster than Savvy...

Ya...slightly! I think SAVVY would still be evaluating the order a week after it was placed...then they'd send a pigeon to notify me they had received and reviewed the order...then...blah blah blah
Edit: but, when the part arrived...it would be awesome!

Not a cyber deal, but walk into my local Sears to replace a busted (imagine that) Craftsman 1/2 drive swivel and came out with it and a digital 250 lb tq wrench (9-13919) with a 3 year warranty for $113.42. The 9-13919 has a 3 month warranty standard.

Fedex is killing me right now. I was scheduled to get my tv last Thursday, then it switched to Friday. Now I still don't have it and not able to see where it is.

Haven't decided.
Can it fit in your jeep? You still have a backseat, right? And a spare tire.
-
So...to Genright kept hitting me up with discount emails. To validate what I paid for the tire carrier was the best price, I went out there and put it in my cart. I realized it was not any cheaper.
Then yesterday I received an email for another 5% off. Then today they sent me an email for 10% off.
If you do the same, you may be able to get stuff cheaper.

Dammit. I didn't need a new winch. But now I have a new winch!
$100 back from Warn means $799 minus what I can sell the XRC for.
The 4WP site says they pay sales tax on all Warn winches. This model wasn't listed that way so I will call them to see if that was a mistake.
Thanks for posting this... I think?!

Imho this is not a family resort destination unless you own a house and a boat, or someone you know does. It was developed to be a sport fishing hub and has the best bill fishing in the world and is the home of the triple crown. http://lstournaments.com.
There are some charter boats and you can go zip line and rent razors but once you go out the gates it is a 3rd world country and you better have a driver or ready watch your back. And don't drink the water outside of the gates.
Tom and Giselle, and Jennifer Anniston have houses here on the richest section over the mountain that you can't seeon the photo.
Paco is the local surfer town where you can get anything you want and I mean anything.
There is a nice Marriott at Los Suenos with a pool and beach.
Just saying it's no cancun or PC or Myrtle Beach or Daytona for the kids
but an awesome place for adult family and fishing and chilling.
Or a boys sportfishing trip. Not uncommon for us to catch 20+ sails and a few Marlin in a day.
