I have called skip, so far its open, but they have an event I think on sat, where one of his rangers brings his rig and puts on a show, not too big, mostly people watching, i think its one day, but skip said that
if we needed more camp sites to call so he can expand. I currently have camp site #7 by the river, will house 3 tents, if we get more, we can move to a larger site, he said the sooner we call the better
that they will fill up as Mem. day approaches.
this is NOT a club event, but anyone that would like to come wheel for a few days, camp, watch what ever are welcome. not sure but if this post violates any club rules then delete it and pm me on how
to go about setting something up so i dont wheel alone. thanks

Well, I am still planning on going on this ride. if anyone is wanting to join me, i have a camp site which holds like 2-3 tents. I will be leaving thursday late afternoon. so that gives me
all Day Friday and Sat to wheel. i will be returning on sunday, unless more folk show and want to wheel more on sunday.
I think skip is having an event Sat. afternoon, some kind of race/event. i have never been so im looking forward to reporting. on it.

Bumping, its this coming weekend. i will be their fri/sat/sun coming home on monday. come out , even for a day, i hate to wheel alone. Im at campsite 7, call skip if you want to camp, he has an event on sat.
some kind of race/contest.

FYI, Gulches is booked this weekend. I have site 7 which holds 3 maybe 4 tents. so far it appears just 2 of us will be there over the weekend. there is an event going on sat. some guy that is a big SC off roader
has a buggy that competed in king of the hill will be there do do some demo's and put on some shows on some of the harder trails. lots of folks wheeling but wanted to let you guys know I have #7 and could
hold another tent, maybe 2 if anyone is still interested. sounds like a fun weekend. free beer, at my site. FYI.
should be a great weekend. //SLAMIN// its 50 for the whole weekend. if you have never been, its a nice park, skips a great host. and the weather looks great so far.

Sure do wish I could come out and wheel and camp, the weather should be awesome...but this move is taking all my time. Won't be wheeling until July.

I'm not going to be able to make it. I was planning on friday to avoid the weekend crowd, but no such luck

ok, im at camp site 2 as of now. im leaving around 7am friday morning, should be there around 10 on friday, and hope to be wheeling by lunch time after i get camp setup.
I will be on CB channel 7. if you need my cell number just PM me, and i will send it to you if you want to hookup when you arrive.

A great Friday of wheeling. Camp site 2 has 2 open spots for tents. Lots of ppl here now. They made some of the intermediate trails harder and some of the hard ones even harder. Saw skips ranger out in the front loader working on trails. No rain. Tomorrow is suppose to be even better. Can't wait.

We'll wish windrock would have worked out but nxt time u Guys do a calendar expect people to make PLANS. All good. Still testing out Danny's gears and lockers. Need some more seat time with the new setup. I will be at the nxt ride for sure

Had to leave early Since work knew I was only a few hrs away I got called In. Not sure if I can milk this for nxt weekend but it is what it is. Blah.

wish i could but i had them reschedule an entire event we have and they pushed it to the week after Memorial day cause windrock was orginally set on that date, cant make them change it again, 20 other people in
my office have made plans , vacation etc.. just like I did .
you guys have fun.

Skip and his wife were very nice and lit up when we told them we are with GATR.
Can't wait to go back and try some of the harder trails

great meeting you and your wife. glad you had fun.
as a side note. we have a new supply of shine, the guy that hosted the BBQ also makes SHINE, as good as the stuff we got at harlen, but he has more favors. strawberry, watermelon, peach, apple pie etc.. very very good. and way cheaper. like 25 a jar. i got 4 jars, stuff is really good.

Wish I knew that when I was there. I have been waiting on my guy for 3 weeks now.
I think we are going to plain another trip up there here soon. Since it is only a little more than 2 hours away I can’t think of a better way to spend a day.
plus we need some better pictures of the FJ.
