Woman Loses Leg in Moab

Apparently a spectator was standing near a Youtube JL when he floored it over an obstacle. Airlifted out and lost her leg. Good reminder to pay attention to your surroundings and don't assume a driver can see you over their hood

Rumor is the throttle stuck. That's just hearsay though.

Haven’t seen any first-person remarks on what exactly happened, but it doesn’t  sound good.

He’s got a YouTube channel called American Jeeper. From my very unprofessional opinion, I never got the feeling that he had a lot of wheeling experience.

Very sad to see.

Damn.

The battery looks like it didn't have a good mount...I'm surprised on a new rig.

Stuck throttle...on a drive-by-wire....sounds odd.

Terrible accident regardless of the details.

Easier than saying he panicked and just kept it pinned down.

I think the woman is also partially to blame if she was in fact standing in front of the vehicle watching this happen

Mine got stuck in the floor mat right after the hemi swap. I nearly piled it up

There are very few videos out there of big rides in the desert...and even in this part of the country...where people aren't doing that. I'm waiting on a video of one the SRRS media dudes to get squashed by a bouncer that took flight. I've never understood the fascination with standing in front of the guy who's doing everything he can to make his vehicle move forward. This is why I always find myself a nice tree to stand next to that I can put between myself and the dude with the big right foot. That being said, I hate it for both of them, they'll have to live with it forever.

Sad situation for both parties. And puts the sport under a big spot light. Not good for anyone..
