Changing my ball joints and the new upper can be pushed most of the way in by hand. It looks like the last 1/8 of an inch will need to be pressed but it shocked me how far it went in by hand. Is this normal? This will be the third set of ball joints. Factory one aftermarket and now these. Any help appreciated.

Seems loose to me.

Sounds loose, grab another set from local suto parts and see how one fits?

The ones I have done on my Jeep and we did a set on Jays Jeep had to be pressed in all the way.

Yup.... Can confirm. Wrong part. Advance auto parts page shows this as the correct part but checking with calipers they are .25mm too small. Short trip to NAPA found the correct ones.NAPA even crossed the moog part number to theirs and they are the same but must have been miss packaged or something. What a PITA.

Thank goodness the hole wasn't wallered out. I was concerned for you.
