I'm up for wasting some ammo.  I have a Bushmaster XM-15 ORC that I hardly get out to shoot.  I have a 1000 rounds of green tip ammo that I can't use at the range (they don't allow it because it tears up their back stop).

Just ran a couple magazines thru it.
Loved it.......no problems and already pretty accurate with my slight twitch as I squeezed the trigger. Believe I like the green dot better than the red dot.
It had been so long since I've shot the batteries where dead in my ear muffs.

Shot the AK47 only for the 2nd time.
I really did to spend some time with it.

I was hitting a coke can at 50 yards checking the AR15's red dot scope
for accuracy.  AK47 couldn't hit the can for shit at 50 yards.

Rob I did see something about them but hadn't checked them out. I was wondering how they was still going to be flush with the extra rounds.

Yep.  That mag makes that 43x sexy as hell.  15 rounds is nice.

Ok finally got to shoot the 43x yesterday.
Man that thing is sweet! Feels great in the
hand. Nice trigger with a VERY short reset.
It really seems like a very light trigger after
you reach the reset point. I didn't have any
paper targets and just shot down by the creek.
I had one metal target swinging between 2
trees and was shooting at 50'. Then I would
walk around and shoot at a handful of cans
and plastic bottles I had set in different spots.

I have a G2 you can use if needed.
Title: Re: Scratched new gun itch
Post by: tjsahara00 on October 10, 2020, 02:58:04 PM
I have one also....

The actual trigger is different and feels better on your finger.
I can tell a  difference and like the trigger pull better....a little crisper, reset is nice. Worked perfectly with no issues.

I was a little concerned about the rear site not having white dots. I did shoot it really good. I like the fact it is made to accept after market sites like the Glock's are.

This will replace the G2 in one of my vehicles with it's 3 magazines.

I did finally shoot that .223 I got from you. Takes me a minute to get the scope lined up ....then I did hit the target each time. I only had it at 110 yards though.

110 is good for deer. We always zeroed a scope at 100 for deer.
I'm pretty sure I was hitting 300 yards with that scope on that .233.
I tried 500 but couldn't hit chit.

Does anyone have astigmatism and have a red dot site?

I read some look like starburst or similar shapes. I wear contact to help for it but wondering if anyone has a brand they like and has that optical issue.

Yes and yes. I’ve only tried about 4 different sights but the strikefire 2 worked best for me

Alright I got my three 15 round magazines yesterday.
After more research I went ahead and ordered the
metal mag release to swap out.

Hard to beat the 43x size with flush mounted
15 round magizines.

With the way they have been on back order and
no telling what kind of bans they may try. I feel
glad and lucky to get them when I did.

So recently I bought 5 more 30 round magazine's for my M&P AR.
I felt like I didn't have enough ammo so I went to a gun show Sat
and bought some more. Of course prices are crazy but I've been
looking for the last 6 months. So I least I feel better about all my
different ammo stock piles......for now anyway.

I did get out yesterday and plink off 90 rounds of the .556
and 45 rounds on my Glock 43x

odd , I was ,just yesterday , compelled for no reason to think a little target / fun .22l pistol might be cool. I went down the Ruger Wrangler variant . I'd imagine your new one is likely higher quality ; it looks it w that sweet blueing
