My birthday is over Labor Day and we are going to head up to Tennessee for the weekend. We hate that we missed the July ride at Windrock and wanted to extend an invitation if anyone wanted to join us as we hit the trails on Sunday, 9/6. We've got three Jeeps going. All will have the wife and kids so it will be a family-oriented ride. The plan is to try and hit the three Jeep Badge of Honor Trails (51, 26, and 16) and figured that will likely take us most of the day.
If we end up with some extra time, can y'all recommend any of the other interesting spots like the wind mills and the old train that might be entertaining for the kids?
We've got a cabin for the weekend, but nothing was available at the park or close to it, so we ended up booking a spot on the Tellico River in Tellico Plains. Gonna do some fishing on Saturday and wheeling on Sunday. If we're feeling extra on Monday, we might take the drive up the river, down to Murphy, and back home that way to see if anything seems familiar. Haven't been through there since Tellico was shut down and interested to see how everything looks through there.
Let me know if anyone will be up that way and wants to join us on Sunday. Cheers.

I may actually be there with some local guys that weekend, but we will more than likely head home Sunday

Well if I run into you on your way out I can get the trail report. All the lodging has been sold out for a few weeks so I’m assuming they will be busy or is that usually the case up there?

According to their website it looks like the Appalachian Toyota Roundup event is going on that weekend. Watch out for those Toyotas.

Yea I saw that on their website, the Toyota event, and I reached out to the general store. Sounds like it's an FJ Cruiser fest but the lady I spoke to said that there is always plenty of room on the trails no matter what event is going on.
