I am planning a weekend camping trip to Helen area. Going to be doing some light wheeling like Tray Mt., Wildcat creek, warwoman WMA . I've posted it on cherokeetalk.com and now posting on here. Not sure what weekend we are going, but I will be taking a friday off and leave around lunch time depending on how many people want to go will depend on where we stay. I would like to stay a sleep hollow camp ground its $20 a night and they have showerrs and bath rooms, pond and no people in the back where I stay. We can fit more people there and I can reserve the site unlike staying at on of the wma and the are $10 a night. Let me know. I believe that it will be next month June. I will post a date asap

sounds good camping will be $5 a night and bring your own food money kinda tight. Still 2 night camping $10 bucks and food for day and a half thats not bad

Week and a half before we go!!!! Dose anybody need directions. I'll be leaving around 10 a.m on the 4th, I should be pulling in to Helen around 12:00- 12:45. dose anyone want to meet in Helen or dose everyone just want to meet at the camp site. I know this is still a week out I just want to make sure that we hold enough camp sites. So if everyone that going can list your name and how many people are coming with you.

We will be meeting at the campsite between 10:00 and 10:30am leaving at 11:00.

We rode a few F/S roads today. The woods were very crowded but we still had a good time. We ran into a thunderstorm so it cut our trip a lil short. The black xj has a tbi 350 with ax-15 trans, dana 44 rear, a/c and etc..... It is the first xj I have seen done like that and I have to say I like it pretty good.

His front drive shaft was rubbing the down pipe from the exhaust manifold. His co pilot was tweeking it, lol!

Made it back it was a great time thanks rabunjeeper.

I wish I could have made this trip, but unfortunately I had a full weekend of stuff to get done.

Weather was great it did rain at the end of the ride but nothing to bad, and it rained on Friday night for about 45 min but that was it. The temp there at the camp ground was 74 and got down to mid 60s it was great.

Yeah it was me, I heard you holler for the gatrailriders but i thought it was one of our crew. I hollered back and no one and answered. I was there from 10-bout 4 on sunday July 4th. But this thread is for June 4th not July, {hihi}
