Hey guys, It looks like Krahn beat me to posting up our Second WFTW event here.  We really appreciate all of you that showed at our event last year in September.  I see that you have a River Rock run already happening two weeks before ours.  It sucks about the timing, but should any of you be unable to make your event we would love to have you at ours.   Of course we would greatly appreciate any assistance you can give in advertising the event and encouraging any of warriors to attend and enjoy a day of wheelin!!.    I can be reached via the email listed on the flyer.  Thanks again.

We usually set up a tent at the bottom of the entrance rather than at the gate, but it is pay on site.   I am requesting pre-registration for our veterans and warriors to help prevent confusion the day of etc.

This is not an official GATR ride, so just look at the River Rock website.

River Rock requires that you have a fire extinguisher, seat belts for all passengers, and at least a stock roof or roll bar.  As for a winch etc, that is up to you.  We have plenty of people come out with stock rigs and very little mods.  We generally have several rigs on each ride with full gear to assist if needed.   The goal is for everyone to have a good time and drive home without damage.  At least for non trailered rigs.  IF you pull it, drive it like you stole it!

This is event is just over two weeks away.  We have been getting a good response, even have a couple of rigs coming up out of Tampa area.  We will be doing a guided trail ride on Friday at 10:00,a ring toss event Friday afternoon, guided trail ride on Saturday at 10:00 and the cookout Saturday night at 6:00 (burgers and dogs).  I am advertising at the VA in Atlanta and with the Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2) at Ft. Benning, Ft. Gordon, and Ft. Stewart, so we will hopefully have a few warriors in attendance as well.

A little late, but hopefully I can still jump onboard. Looks like it will be mostly Jeeps. I have wheeled at RR multiple times and love going there to enjoy weekends. I drive a built Landcruiser and hope I am welcome to jump onboard. Looking forward to meeting you guys and getting to know to.

FYI- I am about 4 minutes from RR so I will swing by and check it out. Hopefully I can run with you guts on a few trails.

That is what I plan, I won't be hard to spot in the crowd of Jeeps. I'll be the only hardcore curb crusher out there.

The event is open to all vehicles (that have required safety equipment).   I am unable to reply to pm's on this site for some reason.  So in response to one I received:  We have a couple of open seats if needed.  Look forward to seeing you.

last time i went to RiverRock we had a guy in a stock yellow TJ and he had a blast all day. Just bring some wrenches to disconnect your front sway bar and plenty of people there will have air so you can probably use someone to air back up your tires at the end of the day.

I met Micheal (Do Work 93YJ) and his crew this morning, thanks for letting me bum a seat for a little while Micheal. Let me start by saying this crew is a fun crew to ride with. A lot of you met Brad in his XJ at GATR Fest, the rest of this crew consisted of another 1 Ton XJ on Red Lables, a stretched Sammy, and a 'Yota. It all started with the Sheriff's Dept. visit a few minutes after the crew rolled into the park. You know it's going to be a fun day when S.O. is tracking you down. Seems one of the local's backed out in front of the crew on the way in to the park, and got passed on a double yellow to avoid a collision, and commenced to getting P.O.'d, he called S.O.,the cop was cool and in the end told everyone to have a safe day. Next lesson I learned today was that zip tie's, no matter how much we love them, are not a replacement for bolts in your pinion yoke, they just won't hold up to the torque of a drive shaft. I rode with Micheal for a few hours before bailing out to go pick up my Grandson. Here are a few pictures. I will see if any video's are worth posting later.

Zip tie's for driveshaft  {no} :

Thanks Mark for taking pictures for us. Sorry about all the early mishaps that keep us from be able to wheel more while you were there. :-\ I will call you when I get back in town so I can get your spares back to you. We had a blast this weekend and was glad we could help support such a good cause. {salute} The weather was great but the rain early in the week made for a lot rev limiter action. The weekend also turned into another flop fest with a long list of carnage. My list was a flop on horse power hill, bent pass. side main leaf, broke pass. side seat, broke driver side main leaf, and a boke front driveshaft. The sami rolled over on its lid, Red XJ broke transfer case yoke, Brad broke balljoint, yota 4 blown beads, blown water line, dropped front driveshaft, and last YJ buggy flop on horse power hill.

Hey guys just wanted to post up and thank you all for your support.  Had a great time, wish I had more time to wheel with everyone.  Will have to get back over to horsepower hill and give it hell again.   We were able to raise a $1000 dollars which will be sent to Ft.Benning, where they will use it for Soldiers and their families that are returning from theaters of war.  I will post their November news letter when I get it.   See you all next year.

That is cool, everyone that was at the ride got nice metal plaque's to put in their rig also. Even though my junk was still broken and I rode with Micheal I still got a plaque for making a donation. {salute}
