Ill get a route posted soon.

The meeting place is going to change. It will most likely be the Wallmart in Clayton.

It would be a blessing for me if a couple people with radios would commit to middle and end of pack. We had a huge turn out last year and that was very helpfull.

This will be a super tow rig friendly ride. All I have running right now is the new truck and Im gonna act like a Discovery owner from the 90s with it. I wont do a pre run for this so pin stripes might happen as we will be on an exploration, but I will do my best to pick wider dirt roads.

I think I just sent the route to @Trailabite.

It will start at the Clayton Walmart. We will then go do a loop of dirt roads that will bring us into Pine Mtn. From there we will head to Burrells Ford Road. This will take us into South Carolina as we cross over the Chattooga river. It is also the first leg of the Traverse Trail as ran east to west.
We will then jump back on the hard top for a moment and run into North Carolina where we will get back on dirt and take a backway into Highlands via the "Old Iron Bridge".
The route ends at the Ugly Dog Public House.
It should be early enough in the day to explore Highlands, Grab a beer, or head out to something else.

Light lunch/snack break at the South Carolina Line. Have something bigger in Highlands.

The road is called Bull Pen Rd that the bridge is on. Supposed to be some waterfalls and stuff you can see from the bridge.

Would this be appropriate for a noob? Just purchased a 4Runner and looking to learn from some experienced drivers.

Yes, more than likely you won’t have to put it in 4 wheel drive .

FYI - for those of you that are willing to bring and share your handheld radios make sure you have some sort of identification on them. There's lot of people that don't know each other and sometimes we forget what went where lol.

Less than 24hrs away. Hope everyone is gassed up.

Ill get to the Walmart around 8:30 - 8:45 tomorrow morning.

*Few Reminders*

Ill be in a white 4wd 2500 late model ram.

9-9:30 Arrive
9:30         Drivers Meeting
10:00       Head to trail
2:30-330  Finish

Bathrooms will be scarce if any. Please be prepared to do like the bears should nature call.

There are a few different places along the route that we will stop and stretch our legs, have a snack, take pictures, that kind of thing.

The ride will conclude when we get to Highlands NC. We should get there with plenty of time to explore the town, have a nice mid afternoon lunch/dinner, or head home to something similar.
