So is this a show-up Friday night and ride Saturday and go home Saturday night trip or show-up Friday around noon and ride Friday Saturday and go home Sunday trip?
I am a little rusty at these things.

I don't know what you want to spend, but this might be an option, if not already booked.

I've stayed at that cabin twice and it's a nice setup. Full bathroom and has heat and AC. It's just down the street from the park.

I'm out. My wife fell off of her horse and fractured her L1 vertebrae. Lucky it didn't cause any nerve damage. We're at the spine center now and she is getting an outpatient procedure called Kyphoplasty. Basically they inject a bonding cement into the vertebrae. She should walk out virtually pain free.

I think it's bring your own.  In the past we have been able to grab bundles of wood from the grocery store in the big town right off the highway, but that assumes you go the same route I'm talking about.

Their is a place down the road, if u go left out of the park, and then stay left at the nxt road u run into a large "wood for sale" operation,  a few years back we loaded up the back of a JKU to the top for like 20 bucks, we used it for 2 nights and still had wood left.

yall have fun.  i still dont have my Tie-rod bolts safely mounted and have been tighten them about every few days., I need to get @Danny Kinder  at AllSouth to let me sneak in for an hour or so and let the Tech's rig/fix that for me.  dont want the tie-rod coming off on the hwy .. yikes...

Early December I should be trail worthy.  At least, that is the date for which I am shooting.  Do you ride year around?

You'd better ask Skip if that is OK.  I doubt it would be.  No campfires would probably mean just that.  Sucks, but it's his park and county law.

From the Gulches web site "Also until further notice campers will not be able to have a fire in the campsites. A grill off the ground will be okay. There is a county wide ban on burning."

So we may be ok. Better to ask though.

If the temps stay like they are, you will not need a campfire. You can have the grill going & cook hotdogs on a stick & marshmallows.

Can't camp without  a campfire, even if it's 100 outside!

Sounds like there's no camping then?

Skip said we are fine to have a small fire or two, just keep a close eye on them. Might be safer to have a bonfire up near the cabin and it may be a little easier for everyone to get together. Some of the camp sites are a pain for more than 3 or 4 jeeps to get to.

Typical for a rural area. On top of the hill at the office it's not bad. Down in the valley at the river, not so much. Now I haven't been there in two years so things may have changed.

welp. im out. my fawking truck wouldnt start yesterday when i got off and was going to take it home to load, called the man to come look at it and he never showed this morning. My diagnostic stuff is saying there leaks in the injection system, so he thinks it has blown some orings or something. FML. im not sure there is such a thing as "good" parts.

Damn man! sorry to hear this. Sounds like you could use a relaxing camping weekend to get your mind off s***. Thought about driving the LJ and going "easy" on it.

yeah , i thought about it, but then there is always that one last (or first) trail that i decide to take the hard line on and then break. my luck i wouldnt even make it there to begin with.

oh yeah.. 1k posts.

Jeep is still in the paint booth. As soon as it is dry enough to put the hood back on I'll be on the way. Justin drive yo shit, we won't leave you there if something happens.
Also, we can do some "front porch chilling" at the cabin since we can't have a fire. Sounds like conditions have gotten worse since I spoke to Skip.

I got a look at the color today in the booth.  It looks awesome.
