Bored too, so I popped a beer and got on the forum.  Porno only lasts so long.

Air conditioner upstairs went out, so I bought a portable air conditioning unit since HVAC folks can't come by until Wednesday.  Next week is going to be freaking hot.  The portable ac is pretty cool (come on), but portable is really an over statement;  This thing is freaking heavy and requires external ventilation and a bucket for condensate collection.

I was thinking I might be able to use it in the basement during hot days while working on the jeep, but I need to do some plumbing for the exhaust.  I have drains in the basement where I can dump the condensate hose.

I have seen people take these camping and cut a hole in the side of their tent.
Makes camping in the heat bearable.

I have a window unit that I made into a makeshift tent air conditioner with some plastic gutter parts.  The problem was that condensate would build up on the unit, then it affected the circuitry.  But, for a few hours it was awesome, until it beeped incessantly!

If you need any more to get you to Wednesday I have two backup window units in my shed.
Thanks!  I'll pass for now.  We survived yesterday, so I anticipate great things for the next couple of days.  I still have that window unit mentioned above, but they're a PITA...not that the portable one was fun to setup.
