Title: What grinds your gears?
Post by: 94xjsport94 on September 16, 2013, 08:55:28 PM
List your grievances and bothers here.

Today: I have $200+ in parts left over sitting in my garage from my 98 XJ and the market has suddenly dried up for what should have been quick sales.

I wish there were non-kids sections in public places like there used to be non-smoking sections.

People who pay attention to anything but driving while being the wheel.

I am evidently a beta user of Tapatalk 4 even though I paid for the software...this software is buggy.

People that seemingly wander onto the roads in the morning or afternoon and have no where to be. What makes it worse is they refuse to get out of the left lane. Then you pass them and all of a sudden now they are ready to speed up.   //BLASTEM//

This. I like kids and all, but my dinner or movie shouldn't be ruined because a parent doesn't want to step outside with a screaming child...

And cell phones... what is it with people and smart phones now? They cant drive, walk down the street, sit at a dinner table, bar, hold a conversation, check out at the grocery store, anything, without a phone in their hand looking at FB or playing candy crush or something!

I did a lot of welding in a sleeveless shirt, now I have a big arc burn and my arms smell like burnt skin and hair. GMG

Getting older sucks...a young kid types GMG in a post on a forum and I think, "damn, what did that one mean" and have to go look it up.  I believe it means the kid had a typo, but as I get older I never know for sure.

People that refuse to turn their lights on when it rains(daytime running lights are not the same),even thought it is a state law, and idiots that don't use their turn signals. And the dumb asses that drive like a bat out of hell through the mountains and hung up the damn phone and drive the car. Most of them can't drive in the first place much less talking on the phone

I'm 28 so I don't really consider myself that old... what's GMG? Gotta Move Grandpa? Get My Gun?

What grinds my gears is people who are broke telling me how I should manage my finances. I usually bite my tongue, unless said person is on the tv. Then i let it all out

The government, Barack Obama, and his racist, non-American wife. (And I mean non-American because she has no pride in this country).  Taxes, , absurd gun laws, and the new iPhone. Every time I get the latest iPhone, a new one comes out 6-8 months later. Dammit.

Hmmm, I agree, what's free about it?  You still have to buy the phone when the new one comes out.
The apps I'm not worried about, it's just the newest phone makes mine look like a paper weight.

Is there really anything special about the new iPhone?  I heard there was nothing 'game changing' about it, compared to the previous model.  I know the new features on the S4 didn't make me want to go trade in my S3 immediately.

I'm not sure there is a lot about the Droid market that is free, but not free on Apple.  The cases aren't free (applies to apple too), I bought the tapatalk app (supposedly there is a free version now), and a whole bunch of the 'free' applications I have are free on Apple too.  The reality is that any application worth having is either charged for on both platforms or is free on both platforms, in one form or another.   I do not understand the debate...you either want a certain set of features from one group of phones with varying screen sizes OR you want a small screen with a real ecosystem and another set of features from one phone.

I believe you could pretty accurately determine party affiliation based on phone selection...if everyone had a real chance to choose I their own.  Pinko-Democrats love Apple's constrained environment while Conservatives love the freedom and chaos associated with Droid...

Totally disagree with this.  I am a die hard conservative (not too far to the right wing side though) and I love my iphone.  As for what's new with the new iphone, it uses your fingerprint.  No other phone has that capability.  If that's all it offered, that's enough of a security upgrade for me to get it.

Its also the first 64 bit phone. I'll be getting one next week to try out. I do hate that I'm on the "S" upgrade though. Oh well.

This guy gets it. I can buy apps from the Samsung store, google play, hell I can even still use ITunes on my galaxy. No need to jail break it, just go to Settings: Developer Options to get to do more stuff. And its always nice to have flash player for internet surfing. I don't have to worry with my phone provider deleting once standard apps like Youtube because they are in some pissing contest over money without my say... So yeah the free side....

But like I said before, I still miss facetime

NOTE:  No sarcasm was in the paragraph above.

For most phones have become their computer. Between my S3 phone and recently purchased Note tablet I have just about 0 need for a computer. Toss in a wireless printer and done! Ordering parts, forums, youtube, its all done with ease and way faster than any computer in my house.

What grinds my gears....

Not disengaging my clutch before I shift

Liberals.

Liberal media.

AR15 shotgun... why don't I have one?

obama.

Liberals that defend obama.

asshats that pull out from behind you in traffic then cut you off so they can get 1 car further.

did I say obama?

On a side note, I have an iPhone and love it. I just got a Samsung Tab 2... wish I held out for an iPad. Not loving it too much, iPhone to me is a happy little land with no asshats, no obama, no liberal media... just a bunch of conservatives because everything in my iPhone works together.
