do you ever notice in those active shooter videos how they tell you to run and hide or barricade yourself into a room and improvise a weapon....wouldn't it be much easier to just carry a weapon?

For me...I just don't trust that I won't Barney Fife it if I daily carried...so I'll just be a target (a big target).

After an incident at AOP recently, I am seriously considering packing on the trail.

What happened at AOP?
some guy in a buggy pulled up on a side trail next to me and slung mud/dirt and leaves and stuff at my jeep.  Yelling stopped him, but it could have escalated and I don't know if he was carrying.  Something stupid, but left me feeling vulnerable.

Sounds like he is just an asshole. Always carry better to be safe than sorry. //salute//

Yeah an Ass Hole for Sure. Clark did you tell him you just washed and waxed your Jeep?

Seems like most of those buggy guys at AOP were a bunch of yahoos.

Clark - get training and you won't have to worry about being Barney Fife.

Wait he was slinging mud onto your rig or John's?  If it was Johns clean-ass rig then I could understand shooting him.
