Thanks for the info 4LO 4.0. I have heard of phosgene gas from a/c and refrigeration class I took at a tech school years ago. when you solder the refrigerant lines and there is freon present, it will make phosgene gas. And as our instructor always said, " Phosgene gas, just so you know, that sh** will kill you!" Definately pay attention to what you clean your weld area with. Randy

Thats scary to think that is what we used to clean our diffs before welding them. :o

I have ran into that gas many of times back when I did heating and air and didn't think much of it would just step out every so often and get some fresh air. Man thats crazy. {;-(}

I would always move also didnt know it could kill you.

Anyone ever breathed in freeon? that crap hurts! lol
basically it's heavier than air and you choke to death.

Use to run service calls all the time to recharge units were kids were stealing freon and huffing items

My dad is an HVACT and I've done some work with him over the years.

I had no idea it was deadly either, I just knew when I read i though that it had to be posted here.
I would never want to open the thread- so and so member dies after modding insert project here.
