If you could only have 1
personal concealed carry handgun that had to be
- pocket carried
- ankle carried
- fat boy carried, so anywhere but inside belt
what would it be?

Glock 43 or M&P Shield.

Love my 43, I have started carrying it OWB now that I can conceal it with jackets and hoodies

Inside belt :)
Not following you or are you the kid that always ignores the given parametric restrictions?

Inside is uncomfortable but more secure & concealable. So I'd guess next best thing is fat boy carry.
Pocket is next best but only with a trigger guard the grabs the pocket & falls off when you draw it out.
I'd never ankle carry. It just feels like every time you step its gonna fly out- even when tucked inside a cowboy boot.
If you could pull it off, the most comfortable & concealable would be under the shoulder, cross draw.
Rugar SR9C gets my vote. Not a Glock fanboy.

Glock 43 or M&P Shield.
This.

Or for a tad smaller option Kahr PM9.

Shield not a glock fan myself!

Glock all the way. Don't buy anything else. Glocks are proven. That's why most Law Enforement and a lot of the military and FBI are switching to Glocks.
Also ankle carry isn't the best place for your primary carry gun. Think about a problem comes up and you have to bend over pull your pant leg up then draw. Keep it on your waist or pocket. I have an Ankle holster for a Glock 42 and just can't get comfortable wearing it.
I wear a Galco Stinger Outside the waistband for my Glock 43 and love it.

I have carried a number of different guns and the one that has proven the most comfortable is the Glock 43. It's weight makes it easy to carry all the time and that's important to me. If it's not easy and comfortable, I'll leave it at home.
Just changed from an Alien Gear IWB to a GearCraft, very pleased.
-
Look at the kimber micro9. There is a picture above your waffle house start in morning coffee thread. Easily fit in you pocket healthy status doesn't matter. Shoot pretty well.
I can send you a picture of it together.

My advice if you do a 43 carry a second mag in your pocket.

I carry EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME. I carried a Ruger LCP for years but now I carry a Glock 43. I've been shooting Glocks 23 years and they just work. I rarely carry the G43 inside the waist band though. I use a Fobus Kydex OWB holster and just have my shirt over it. The times I carry it IWB, I use an Alien Gear holster.
I don't worry if someone sees my pistol printing but 90% of folks will never notice. Also, I usually move it to the appendix position when I get out of the Jeep.

Question,on most saying Glock.
If it were a case of this brand not being so mainstream, for so many years do you think it would be the most popular vote in this thread? I am just curious,I have nothing against Glock I personally don't like them. But I will agree very well made n dependable.

This! They are a proven firearm, over and over and over. They just work which is exactly what you want IF you ever need it.

Nice thing about a Glock is they pretty much have a lifetime warranty. Anything goes wrong with pistol or mag go to Glock in Smyrna and the will fix it while you wait.

Any let you test fire it with THEIR ammo.

Franklins in Athens will have their annual cost day Sale on the 31st. Bought several guns on that day over the years. Good pricing. Be there early though.

Funny that I own rugers, s&w, Kimber, taurus, Beretta, Sig, and Colt, but have never owned a Glock.

Glocks also will shoot any brand ammo you feed it. They aren't picky.

Any blue label (LEO / first responder) dealer. I buy mine from SPD in Adventure Outdoors. There are a couple your way. Ed's is great also.

Second Dawsonville gun and pawn. I have bought a lot of firearms there and always have the best prices. I have carried the ruger sr9c, kimber solo, kimber ultra carry II, glock 19. The 43 is still the easiest to carry IMO. Glock will shoot anything and is easy to breakdown and clean. I added a +2 basepad so it will hold 8 rounds, a new trigger, and tru glo sights. I'm not a glock fan boy by any means. I'm actually an FNH fanboy but they don't make carry pistols (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161218/541a7e942798cbad934ab8d7804ecf6b.jpg)

I agree totally. I have a friend that spent a lot of money on a 19. Making the trigger lighter and a faster reset. The gun shot like crap. Not it's back to stock.

Another carry option for the G43 is a Desantis pocket holster. Sometime I'll carry it in my back pocket.

I've got this holster for my Shield. Fits in my front pocket and is my primary carry method.

Well and they told us that in Armorer's class also... :)
I almost completely agree. I wouldn't modify internals but I did have the finger grooves removed from my G19 because they didn't match my hand at all.
I'm 50/50 ish between carrying the 19 and 43. I would like to carry the 19 all the time but the 43 is so much more comfortable. Extra mag in a pocket clip either way.

I have a 19 and find the 43 to be much more comfortable to carry.

I carried a M & P 9mm daily owb for several years and then switched to a Ruger LCP 380 when I stopped working in the field and took on an office job. My favorite gun is probably a Springfield Armory XDM 40. I like the way if fits in my hand, similar to my M & P.
I have never liked Glocks, sure they are great and they have a great warranty and they are local, but the grip is not right for me. I am not sure if its the angle or the grip molding but I was never able to find one that fit right.
-
I am buying a walther PPQ M2 9mm as soon as my xmas bonus hits. Been eyeing this one for quite sometime. As far as how I carry, that is determined by the seasons. Cold weather, exterior holster but not open. Summer, IWB all the time.

Still got my 43 and love it,

I have the Ruger LC9s but 99% of the
time I carry the Taurus Millennium G2
