Picked up a new corn-hole game today to bring on rides //cheers2//
Hey guys, we ended up having to rent the park for the weekend.
This means we will be the only ones in the park!!
The price is $40 per rig - no passenger or camp fees. //cheers2//
Whats the accomodations around there? I told the wife I wanted to go both days but got the "I aint sleeping in a tent look".
Marty, there are a few better built rigs that will try the harder obstacles. There will be several groups; no need to go solo.
There is an "America's Best Value" inn at the route 9 exit off I20. Typical low-cost motel, but somewhat above the average for the type. I stayed there last time. One of the owners has a buggy and wheels there. It's 10 miles from the park. Thanks! I'll check into it.

Talked to my bosses, (at home and work). All the stars have aligned and I finally get some rock time!!! Anybody arriving Friday? I'll be there around 2.
Never wheeled there, after looking at their site, will there be enough for me to wheel a whole day? My unlimited rubicon on 35s does well, but i need to drive it to work monday. all the pics on their site and their trail descriptions make me think i will break something or be done by noon. I'm really wanting to wheel but I can only get off a few times a year to get out, should i save this time til later? thanks all.
Question, I have a project xj I'm slowly working on, haven't done anything but fix the rusted out floor. (That was a lot) it totally stock with 235/75/15 all terrain tires on it.
Never been to a park, would I be able to do much being stock? 3:07 gears open/open diff . No lift
I also have a full size long bed truck on 33" mud tires.
Which one, or none?
Thanks

Not the truck. The jeep would be able to drive around and watch others do obstacles and maybe. Come out...someone will have an open seat and hanging out is half of the fun (to me).

New guy to the group but looks like I will be able to make it on Friday as well. I'm looking to finally stretch the legs on my JK and meet some good people along the way. Hopefully the weather holds out, I will be bringing my tent.
Too hot for camping for me. Courtyard in Oxford will be my campsite.
1. Who is camping?
2. What are the camp sites like?

Strongly suggest getting a hotel room. I went a couple years back and saw the "campsite". Pretty sure it was just in the dirt in the main parking lot wherever you could fit your tent.

It's really not that bad. Yeah the parking lot is dirt and turns to mud with rain but there is plenty of grassy area to camp in. The facilities are not the greatest. The restrooms are usable and the showers are questionable. There is a dirt floor pavilion for cover from rain if need also. It's really just the heat. Camped there just fine many times. It's really just dealing with the heat. There are 4 or 5 electric posts if you want to run a fan, just need a 30 amp adapter.
With that said is going to be hot so I"m on the fence between camping and hoteling it.

I may do the same if I have a DD...hint hint! Lol

Is it $40 just for Saturday?
Is someone from GATR collecting the money or should we put it in the regular box?
Is anyone staying Saturday night?
