I really wish I could make this event. My wife made President's Club at work and I'm obligated to go on their trip. Last 3 years it was in the Caribbean and this year ...... f'ing San Francisco. I've only been there a dozen or so times. Ugh.A free trip is a free trip. There could be worse places to be.
Never been to the cove. Is it like a forest road or is there some good stuff thrown in ?I've been once last year when we went. Mostly forest service feel with lots of water crossings and creek runs. There was a cool cave that Danny, Todd and I wheeled into. That was an experience. There was also a cool trail that we took off of one of the creek runs. I remember the Kaiser slamming into rocks. I think it's worth going if you've never been. Unfortunately, I can't make it this year.

Ok, for those of us that have NEVER been here before could we pick a specific meeting point to meet on Sat morning? Local gas station, Mcds? It sounds like most of us have no idea where to meet and for a day trip we need to streamline this so we get a full day of wheeling out of it. I don't want to be sitting at some road thinking I am in the right spot and not be. Who has been there and knows a spot to meet up? //popcorn// @Doug @PHANTOM

So I propose we meet here. It is on the way up and we can all find it easily. Then whoever knows the place can lead us in. See image of screenshot and the address. If we are all ok with this let's choose a meeting time. 8:30 (our time) and then it is just a few minutes drive to the address at the start of the thread.

The cove is just a few exits south of AOP exit I believe.
I am also in contact with Pete on water levels from last nights rain and will contact him later in the week if it rains more

The 9 o'clock local time can be a bit confusing since we are dealing with different time zones. We are meeting at 9:00 GA time (8:00 central time) correct. Just so we're perfectly clear for everyone myself included.Feel free to be there at 9 am Georgia time. Georgia isn't local to were we'll be, but it's better to be early than late. I'm targeting to be there around 8 am local, so I can do a precheck...plus I like to target being early in case something goes wrong on the way.

I will alos add I have no heat or ac in the jeep right now as I am also too broke to buy a new unit to replace the old one but I am still making the ride and living the dream. I'll bring my portable plug in heater for the ride up ha ha.
