Title: Anyone need any DOM tubing
Post by: Alex on April 16, 2009, 12:36:15 PM
I am gong to be buying some 1.5x.250 wall dom to make my trackbar and steering.  I have to by a 20ft stick of it but i only need like 11 or so feet.  Anyone interested in the other 9 or 10 feet of it?  Depending on the my cost (5 to 10 a foot) i will sell it for around 3.50 a foot if i pay 5 and more if i have to pay more.  Just let me know.

Too bad you don't live near Atlanta.  I could hook you up.

I can check on a price for it at least.  Maybe bring it to Gainsville for the show, not sure how I'd get it there though.

I can get the DOM 1.5 x .250 wall x 20' for $5.42 per foot.  Will come out of Chattanooga and take me a couple days to get it on our floor here.

If the wall thickness isn't critical I can get you a piece of 1-1/4 Schedule 80 pipe x 21' for $1.36 per foot.  The OD on the pipe is 1.52" with a 3/16 wall.  But it is pipe so the wall thickness will vary a bit but not greatly.  And we have this in stock here.

Are you planning on sleeving your trackbar?

I was thinking tie rod my bad.  I heard about a mod where guys were sliding a piece of pipe over their tie rod to add strength.

If you get me the exact length on that piece I can cut it for you as well, no charge.
