Title: Single 16.5 rim for spare tire
Post by: Scott F. on January 15, 2013, 08:50:36 PM: Looking for a 16.5 wheel 8 on 6.5 lug pattern. Need it to mount a spare 37" on. Can be steel or alum anywhere from 3-5 inch backspace, 7-8" wide or so. Any stock wheel of a 1 ton will work.

If no one has one laying around I will probably go grab one from a junk yard.

Post by: Scott F. on January 18, 2013, 08:35:15 PM: I won't be able to make the Helen ride. What size is the tire? I was going to grab a cheap 37 hmmwv tire to throw on the rim. I need at least a 37 to be close enough to my 40's to use as a trail spare.

Well it is turning out to be harder to find a 16.5 than I thought. All the junkyards in the area have none. Looks like my only options now are to go with a H1 wheel and figure out what to do about the backspacing should I need to use the spare (buy a spacer) or buy a new 16.5 steel wheel. I really hate to buy a new wheel just to use for the spare tire but by the time I get an h1 and a 2" spacer I will probably have spent just as much money as the new steel wheel.

Great, yea if you have a spacer, I would definitely be interested in buying that along with one of the H1 rims from you.
