Title: Need 37x1250r17 trail spare
Post by: jc79 on March 11, 2013, 08:32:43 PM
I'd forgotten until now that I don't have a spare tire since buying the Rockers...

Anyone have a tire in this size I can buy ?

I have 4 old style BFG MTs in that size sitting around. Not allot of tread on them. Also have an old style GY MT that has never seen the ground.  These were run on my tow pig. I was going to switch to the GYs when the BFGs wore out. By then they changed styles...  They are all now on H2 rims.

Could work something out on either option.

A bit of a thread hyjack, I'm sure I just broke some rules.

So, on the H2 wheels and old pics of the tires.

I have 2 sets and need to keep one, unless the price is right and ill go back to the stock wheels.

I have 5 or the original style H2s. They are painted black and are board out to fit a dodge. These have the 37s on them.
I have 4 of the newer style H2s. Boarded out for a dodge with 35" BFG ATs on them.
While I'm at it, I also have a set of stock dodge wheels powder coated black, no tires.

I am going to put new tires on the truck soon, not to concerned which wheels I run. They have all been on the truck and work and look fine.

Open to offers to help fund the new 37s I need for the dodge.  Typically the h2 or dodge wheels go for 100 each

Pics of the truck and wheels below.

You don't really need a tire with exactly the same size for a spare.  A wheel with the correct bolt pattern and a tire that holds air will get you off the trail.

Good point, Kirk.  Looks like I won't be able to get my hands on one the right size before this weekend...

Jared, if for some reason, you need  a spare this weekend to get you off the mountain and on your trailer, you are welcome to use mine.  I would just need it back for the ride home.

Trailer trumps spare

But you've got to get to the trailer.  Murphys Law says that if tire gets cut, it will be in the worst possible place on a trail and usually as far away as possible from the trailer...

Also very true...

I may just have the guys at Allsouth leave my 5th MTR on the wheel and bring it so I can limp back to the trailer without any drama.
