Looks like I will be the owner of a 99 ZX6 Ninja in the near future. Guy texted me today about possible trades on the sub and offered his bike. 13,500 miles, stunt parts added and some other mods. Probably no where near big enough for me, but will try it and probably just sell it. I need the sub gone and have been looking at bikes again. I might just strip this thing and make it a mad max bike. //SLAMIN// I already lost my butt on the sub so if anything, it will be easier to sell a bike than a sub needing parts

Do it.
You need to sell it ASAP.

600's aren't weak by any means. Ride it through winter and then spring turn it for something else if you don't like it.
I love my R6 and just went and bought a 750. My wife rides with me a lot and it pulls us better through the mountains with less gear hunting.

Dude, you need to get rid of that thing quick! Too many folks on their phones these days! Dirts where it's at! That being said, if you keep the bike, do this:

That is what I am looking at doing... mad max, cafe racer look. We shall see //;D//

Krawler, man if I was you I'd cafe that thing then drop it on CL. We were doing those bikes and BSAs, Hondas, new Triumphs,Yamahas, and selling like hot cakes on CL. Shipped three to Cali last year. Buy them cheap, strip them down, get em running and shoot a little paint on them and they were gone. Just my .02 worth, I might have some of those drag bars left
-
Let me know if you have some drag bars. My vision is a cafe style bike.

Just looked at your bike again and you have the right kind of handlebars already. I'd just loosen the handle bar clamps on the upper part of the legs and slide them down to get the look you want. A good body man can bob that seat mount off and build a butt catcher with a small seat pad
