Title: Caffeine and Octane Car Show
Post by: BeerIAm on February 24, 2014, 11:31:32 AM
The Caffeine and Octane car show is this coming Sunday.  I was just wondering if anyone was planning on going.  I might get up and take my boys out as they haven't been in a while.

For those that don't know about the show, the website is http://www.caffeineandoctane.com/ (http://www.caffeineandoctane.com/)

The show officially starts at 8AM and goes to 11AM.  Most of the cars start showing up around 7 and a lot leave before 10 so I like to get their early.  It's fun to watch, hear and smell the rides pulling in.

Address: 5310 Windward Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30004

Maybe I'll see you there.

I plan to be there.  it's about 5 miles from my house and I am a regular.  One of the best car shows around and has a wide variety of vehicles.

I agree.  It's pretty awesome especially when the weather is nice.

Are you rolling in the Jeep or the AMG?

If my jeep is back, I will be going. I have tried to get a jeep crew to go but not many people are willing to get up before 6 on a Sunday. Last time I went (2 months ago), I got there at 6:30 and main lot was almost full.

I work for the fire station that covers this event and if you're waiting to get there by 7:00 you're already late. Most people start getting there around 5:30-6:00 By 7:00 the main lot is always full.

We need to find a good trail to hit up afterwords to help motivate people to get out of bed...

I won't be making it this Sunday but I really want to hit up this event soon.

It will be really cool to get a big GaTR group to go and park all in one spot.   //BEER//

Yeah, it sounds like a fun morning.  Early & weekends are like oil & water in my house, though, especially for my boys.  Maybe if I get a wild hair that morning I'll sneak over and wander around.  Low of 50 Sunday morning??  That sounds pretty nice!

We could make a good meet & greet out of this show sometime. I've been there a couple times since I live right down the road (generally too early for me), and its a great show. Gets bigger every year too.

I'm a definite for Sunday morning, however, I will not be in the Jeep.  Driveshafts did not show up in time and my TJ remains at Allsouth.

I will trade keys with you, I would like to compare that C63 to the CTS-V  //SLAMIN//

Sounds like a good trade!  I'm a big fan of the CTS-V and the AMG vehicles.

Sounds like a good plan.  We can take over the spots occupied by the 40+ G35s and 350Zs...

Sounds like that trade would do my new set of rear tires no good. As it is, I replace rears at twice the rate of fronts.

I thought about bringing the V out but the jeep hasn't made it out with the supercharger yet

The show was packed today. It was great to see some of the GATR crew representing.

So many cars, so little garage space...

That's the biggest I have seen it since I started going 5 years ago. 500+ cars easy today. More jeeps than I have ever seen

Man that place was packed!  I got there late at 8:30 and had to park a few blocks away.  And there were badass cars everywhere.

Took a few shots of some Jeeps.

Caffeine and Octane car show is again this Sunday.  If you didn't already know, they have moved from Deerfield Pkwy to Perimeter Mall.  Anyone planning on going?

I stopped going when it was up in Alpharetta.  I used to take my '65 F250.  Now it's just a place where car clubs go to meet.  I think they're trying to do something different because in Alpharetta, cool hot rods and other cars couldn't get in the lot due to the douchebags with 10 identical new Camaros that weren't nothing specials.  Then you have the exotic crowd.

I like Po Boys Car Club show in Canton the 3rd Saturday of the month.  You will find cars there that people actually want to see.

I haven't been in a while but I did see where since they moved, they are making the car clubs park elsewhere because no one wants to see 25 370z's parked together.  So hopefully things will get back to seeing some cool shit.

I'll have to check out the Po Boys one some day.  Thanks for sharing.

That guy was at the GaTech autoshow. It's a lambo v12 out of Countach, pretty crazy stuff.
