I'm going to dive into the install tomorrow, and since PSC does not include instructions it should be fun. Anyone up for helping? I'm in Canton.
-
Have you looked on YouTube for some videos on the installation?
I am probably not going to be able to join any of the wrench days.
-
Should be the same as your pump with a high and low pressure line tapped into it, right?
-
Yeah the remote reservoir adds something a bit different though.
-
I could be tempted. I've done it on the tj and curious about the jk setup.
Need to find out what plans have been made for me tomorrow already though.
About when?
-
Don't need the remote reservoir for a single piston ram so skip that if you want. But mo is alwaz batta

Have you installed a cooler and a filter?
-
Huge cooler is installed, filter is in the reservoir so I have to install it. Plus it just looks like a nice piece of bling. I'll be doing it this afternoon sometime. Beer is on me for any that help. //cheers2//
-
Where do you live? I'm new here but willing to help any way I can
-
I live in Canton.
-
This install sucks
-
You get it done?
-
Nope. Still at it. For the price it is poorly designed IMO. I can't get the supply line routed where it won't kink. All they had to do would be to supply a 90 degree fitting instead of a 45.
-
What kind of fittings are supplied with the kit? Could you get another 45 to make the turn or does that complicate the attaching the hose?
-
They are barbed fittings
-
Have you put the fitting on the hose yet? If you haven't go to tractor supply and get a 90. Most have a ton of hydraulic fittings in various sizes

Napa too. At least mine does
-
I'm going to check out TSC to see if they have any. They didn't have the right type online, but ny the stores carry others. The other option is to find some stainless braided that won't kink.
-
I had one of the cut to fit fittings blow off on the trail so I got custom made lines by Gates rubber in Norcross.

If you are not in a hurry I'd do what Doug said he did and have some quality hoses made up, and a extra set too.
-
I didn't like their universal hoses either.
Once I figured out the length and angles I wanted. I ordered up some pre fab hoses from summit. Then kept the universal ones for spares.
-
Find a hydraulic house shop near by, they will make anything you want and would have all the fittings you could need. You could also call a mobile hose repair company, they will come to you and make whatever you need. Don't get no easier than that

Has anyone ever used B&J hydraulics in Marietta? Also, what is the normal turn around time for a custom host made locally?

Made them while I waited
-
Oh, that's cool.
-
I can go to NAPA here and have them made while I wait. Actually I just go in the back and make my own
-
I made that hose my bitch. Two hose clamps around the hose in the area that it wanted to kink and voila. They kept the hose round and still allowed it to flex. I may get hoses made up soon but this will work for now.
-
I had my hydraulic assist hoses made at the Parker Store while I waited.
-
So, how is it doing now? Burning up the road yet?
-
Done with a capitol D.
-
Photos?

By the way I get mine made here...

Everyone be jealous of my custom air filter. //LMAO//
And I also need to fab up a bracket for the reservoir. Right now it is bolted to the stock reservoir location. It's solid, but makes everything look unfinished.
