So a guy I work with is contemplating getting into a 4x4 rig for some trail riding and camping. He is like me and coming from the world of sports cars. The "problem" is that he is very picky when it comes to rides and whatever he gets will need to be clean and well fabbed. He is really looking for a Toyota of some type. I don't think he wants to go extreme rock crawling, but more the easy to moderate trails that this group runs. Short of Urban Assault deciding he wants to sell (this is what I meant when I said clean), I am having a hard time finding something for him. Pricing is somewhat open as he could either pick something up for $8-9k, or sell his crazy OCD restored Mustang LX coupe and get into something in the 20's. Let me know if you guys run across something like this.

Slightly out of his budget, but clean :)

I know, just looking for an excuse to post that. I'd take it for a tow pig though.

I'm trying to get him into this. If I hadn't just built mine I would be all over it.

That's the one I wanted, but it is just a bit too expensive for me.

That thing is so sick

He can buy mine for $13500. As a mustang guy he will appreciate the LS conversion.

That is one heck of a mildly built rig. But a clean Rubicon none the less.
Edit: this may not be his sport if he is ocd about his rig being showroom finished. Just saying

Looks good except for that Stak transfer case.

Trucker John? Gotcha.

He's a good ole boy. Would do anything to help a fella off roader.
-
Perhaps he needs to go on a ride or two with you.
The Rubicon on hardline you posted would likely not be good on the road, so your buddy would be looking at a truck/trailer to go along with it.
-
I agree, he should go on a few rides.

I have been, but it has been awhile. One with that jeep and one with the monster.

I was referring to Pyrat's friend, not Doug.
